Obnoxious and arrogant youngsters helming the stall now. Standards have gone down. Last Sat’s laksa gravy had burnt smell! I asked for 4 takeaways in plastic bags as plastic tubs don’t travel well on buses. The arrogant cook sarcastically told me to pour the gravy from tub to bag myself and what color plastic bag I want!! PLEASE COUNT and do the math yourself or be subject to whatever price yelled at you on collecting your food.

Found the remains of a plastic packaging inside my fried ytf. Used to patronise here a lot but owner seems to have changed from uncle to two youngsters. There used to be soy beans in the soup but doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Maybe that’s why the soup didn’t taste as good too. Should you want to order from here, remember to grab your ingredients before joining the queue.

Two things I like about this Yong Tau Fu stall, the crispy meatballs and its smoky sauce. Dry Yong Tau Fu is served with a tasty soup too. Expect to queue 20-40mins anytime you visit it. You need to pick up the ingredients first before queuing.

Decent Laksa for a ytf stall, better than alot of other store that just sells Laksa. Gravy was thick and the cockles was fresh.

Pick your ingredients first, then queue up!! My fav ytf stall of all time for how smoky and intense the sauce (dry is recommended) is. The soup is made with yellow beans and very delicious. Note their opening hours - not avail on Sundays!

Update, 2022 : the stall is now manned by the 3rd generation. Drop by if you want to support local hawkers. 3 things about this stall, that allow it to draw the longest queue in this hawker centre. 1) The soup is unlike the typical YTF stalls in SG. You can find carrot chunks, fat ikan-billis, and lots of soybeans in the soup. And the taste is a good blend of umami and sweetness. Which set this stall apart from typical YTF. 2) The chilli has a special smokiness flavor. A bit of the Lapsang Souchong smoke feel to it. 3) Fish surimi with minced pork is really good. They have the normal and fried version. Both are good. This is also not normally found in the typical YTF stalls. The stall’s “bouncer” used to be another grouchy hawker. But from 2022, no longer!!!! Have not seen anyone get scolded recently! Kudos! SOP (standard operating procedure): 1) pick your selection before joining the queue. Hint: the pork/fish meat blocks are yummy. 2) decide your options before going up to the order taker. Soup/dry/curry, with cheecheongfun/noodles/thick beehoon/thin beehoon/rice/none, want tauge/kangkong or not and eat here/ta pao. 3) pay later when you collect the food. 4) NOW join the queue, and whip out your phone to see the tiktok updates.

My go-to place for yong tau foo stall. Plenty of options and reasonable price. Soup with yellow beans is nice. Love the gravy.

One of the popular stall at this food market. You can always see a constant queue in front of the stall. Wide variety of fresh ingredients to choose from. Choice of rice, noodles or chee chong fun as the main. Very filling and enjoyable.
