★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice decor, good service, great food.
Try the hottest option if you prefer ‘authentic’, (大辣)
I would suggest not to ‘add soup’, instead ‘add water’, else the broth get too salty after 2-3 rounds ‘add-soup’

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Made a reservation at 5:45pm and managed to get a table by 6pm, which is great because we didn’t have to wait for long (despite the queue). Service staff were all pretty nice and observant to your needs.
Apart from that, I don’t understand the hype of this place - the soup base isn’t that great (we ordered tomato, mala and pork bone). The pork bone broth was so bland. Tomato and mala soup was not too bad, but I have had better at so many other places. Personally, soup base is one of the most important aspect for me so I am just not impressed. Generally the ingredients are okay, pretty fresh. I like how the condiments were served to us though (in this covid period) - all the basics like garlic, spring onion, chilli oil and soy sauce etc were given to us and we could just mix the concoction to our own liking.
I also like the chewy rice cake dish with red sugar (can’t rmb the name). The texture is so good, please order it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very delicious mala hot pot!!
Mushroom base is less tasty. Their ingredients served is fresh and on the pricey side but definitely worth visiting for the freshness! Service is prompt and fast too..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s year end, can’t travel overseas, and heck I’m on a long annual leave break.
Always wanted to dine at those hotpot restaurants but never did.
Well today’s the day, reservations made @545pm at Bugis Junction.
Ordered 3 flavour soup based (Mala, Tomato and Pork Broth flavours)
Didn’t try Mala as it was beef based soup. Basically I don’t take beef.
I must say the tomato soup was my favourite. Fully of umami taste the more you cook, the better it gets.
Overall ordered around 10 dishes and it costs about 125 dollars. Not exactly cheap but quality of food was fresh and good. It was a feast for 2 of us.
This includes 2 teas, a jug of plain water and a home made sauce with lots of garlic, cilantro and covered with oils. It’s actually good but too oily for my liking.
Service was fast, efficient and they top up the soup frequently.
Verdict is I really enjoyed the food despite it being on the pricier side. Also would be good to have more than one sauce. A peanut and yuzu sauce would elevate the eating experience!
The restaurant is decorated with an Ancient Orient look and feel. And it’s has the nice ambience and cosy feeling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ High-quality ingredients. You can order easily from the iPad, and the service is quite fast (we went during peak hours too, and the place was packed). They have their own house branded sesame oil that was quite good too. Would definitely go back!
The broth is not as good as haidilao and beauty in the pot, but still very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Environment nice and Soup base has good aroma but slightly on the plain side probably adjusted to Singaporean taste.
Surprisingly, the meats and scallop were not properly defrost. There were still ice inside the scallop making it hard and dry after cooking. Because of this, the meats were also dry and hard too. It should not happen to restaurants of this price range. Quite disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed my late dinner with friends at this Xiao Long Can location. The spicy and pork broth were great, and the tomato soup was absolutely delicious. All of the ingredients were super fresh: we tried the wagyu beef, pork intestine, pork kidney, shrimp, mushrooms and some veggies. The amount of food was quite overwhelming! And another plus is that they are open super late. All in all, highly recommended.
