Xin Wang Hong Kong Café

Came to xing wang at bugis + at 0130hrs in the morning. Was exceptionally pleased that there's a cafe open at this timing and moreover, a cafe that we frequently in the past. However wave after wave of disappointments make me regret coming to the restaurant. 1. Male Indian store attendant wearing a black shirt with top 2 button unbuttoned, exposing off his chest hair, very unprofessionapl look despite being a renowned cafe in SG. 2. Again, male attendant kept us waiting at main door while there was plenty of seats in the place. I understand if manpower was low in the middle of the night. But the guy was busy with the console looking at recipets when he could have just guided us to the seats first and continue. We waited for more than 10 mins for him to finish with what he do before he nonchalantly walked towards us and showed us the way while another female attendant was walking in and out of the kitchen 3. We are ready to order our food after 5 mins and waved for the lady whom walked passed us when we were clearly within visible range. We thought that she did not see us, thus when the male attendant walked towards us, we waved our hands infront of him and called out to him. He walked right pass us like we were invisible. In our disbelief we started to call out loudly when he walked pass another time and that's when he decided that he should take our orders now after 10 mins. 4. After the food came, we started eating, started to see something crawling on the counter connected to our table, when I turned around, what caught my eyes were was terrifying. Horde of white ants, what's seems to be termite crawling around beside me while I'm eating.. 5. There was dirt in the water.. I could not wait until I get out of the cafe to write this review. Honestly, if there was a 0 stars this place certainly deserves it, hands down. I will never come here again and I don't think any self respecting individual should. Given how they treat their customers.

Service 1/5. The service is slow and is on a weekday 5pm. Food 3/5. The food was okay. The other outlet at Siglap food quality is much better. Over here at Bugis outlet have option of indoor air-conditioned seating and also outdoor seating (al fresco dining).

Went for lunch with friends today. The restaurant was not crowded. We got a table inside easily. Service staff was quite stretched. There was only 1 guy who tried his best to take order, serve diners, clear tables and also act as cashier. He was upfront to let us know that there's only 1 chef in the kitchen and that food might take 20-25mins and if we could wait. He also explained that items with a cross are not available today. We each had the lunch set consisting of 1 noodle and a milk tea for $10 nett. Given the circumstances of staff shortage, we thought they did reasonably well. My beef brisket noodles was tasty and the beef tender. We sat and chatted for a long time and was not rushed to leave. Can return and try their afternoon tea set next time.

Service: 1/5 gone are the days of classic xin Wang but the decent service and decent food. The server guiding us in was zombie like. I did not even require a smile but certainly an expression would help? Food: 2/5 classic papaya soup came lukewarm and was not hot at all. I did not dine very late at night… approximately at 9pm. But soup coming lukewarm was terrible and unacceptable. Honey toast was not like last time where it was thick and tasty. The honey toast now resembles a single gardenia thick toast bread. Seafood steamboat was alright. Prawns were fresh and alright.. Even if the service is bad, I would return for food however in this case, the service and food were totally off. Xin Wang, you can definitely do better than this. I hope to return a year later and see that you guys have changed…

Food portion is big and its child friendly. My curry beef rice can feed 2 person and the fried crispy prawn dim sum is delicious. Receive a free bag too when our table value is more than sgd50, will come again. Great convenient place to eat and avoiding the crowd in Bugis Junction.

3 stars for food as both the porridge and beehoon are quite plain, not flavorful and not unique. The only thing I like most about this restaurant is it’s next to Bugis + and open 24hrs. Will probably come back to try other dishes next time.

Portions are generous and the food is nice. The best thing about this outlet is that it's 24hrs!! And they have lots of offers at different times of the day.

When I first stepped in to this place, I thought it is an open area without aircon as it was really warm.. While eating, one maintenance guy brought in a ladder, climbed up to remove the false ceiling over and started vacuuming … the noise was loud and unbearable…. A while later we felt water drop so I asked the staff if we can move outdoor…. Her immediate response was “NO” & all she did was to move us to a table near the main door…. so throughout, we got to shout over the table to talk to each other as the vacuum was real loud! Won’t eat here anymore as the service is horrible!
