Dishonest company, called Xpower as i was unable to turn on my circuit breaker switch. The staff came down to "inspect" my circuit breaker. Staff straight away dismantled the circuit breaker and without any troubleshooting mentioned that my switch was faulty and wanted to charge $400 to replace my circuit breaker switch. After 3 minutes of negotiation, was offered $300 for the switch replacement. As i was doubtful, we turned the staff down, paid the staff consultation and transport fee of $50 as agreed upon initially and sent him off. I then called my friend to come down to take a look at it for a second opinion and he took less than 5 minutes of troubleshooting and managed to turn on the switch. The switch was not even broken at all as claimed by Xpower staff. Please do not be cheated by them.

Same horrible experience as those who reviewed one star. Full payment was made and 1 year warranty given for my full house rewiring. Subsequently, there was an issue with the installation of the lights by him and wiring. Afterwhich, he kept informing it is not urgent and had no time and if I were in a rush, he cannot help. Waited over a month and still nothing. Horrible service, terrible and useless warranty which he only honours till payment is settled. Service ethics and quality of work is horrendous. Please deal with care.

Called Xpower at 10.14am and he told me same day appt at 4pm. Richard and 2 workers only arrived after 6pm after our reminder call at 5pm and he said he will be there in half an hour’s time. We had an electric fire the night before and wanted some assurance that we could turn on the electricity safely. He asked for $200 to check all power sockets and $240 for a mains fuse with additional $40 labour charge. Total $480 paid and they didn’t check all sockets, only the living room where fire was and the sockets in the kitchen. If we knew how over-priced this company was, we would never have made appt with him.

I called this company, owner Richard Chia. The first thing I did not like is that he asked me why I cannot speak Chinese? I said because I am Eurasian. Is everyone supposed to know Chinese? Anyway I told him I need to have. “Bulb” changed. As I did not know what type of light it was he asked that I take a photo and he would know. After I texted him the photo he suggested to changed the whole light so instead of paying $90 I would pay $150 for a new LED light. As it was an emergency I agreed and he said the electrician/s would come over between 1- 2pm. As I like punctuality when they did arrive by 2-30pm I messaged to ask if they are coming. He now told 3 to 4pm as his workers were still at another site and not completed yet. I asked him why he did not update me. I said if delayed should inform me. I always had to either message or call him. He was very slow to respond to my messages so I had to end up calling him. At 4-30pm they still did not arrive. By that time I was already fuming. I told him that if they could not do the job because they are so busy he could have let me know early then I could call another electrician. It was then that he messaged to say they would be at my place in half an hour which meant they arrived at 5-10 plus. I have never waited so many hours for someone to come over to do any job. Even though Richard apologised I felt he has very poor communication and responsive skills which are basic requirements when running a business and dealing with customers. But I must say and give credit to the two Electricians who were very nice and polite and quick to change the light. Thank you to them! ??

Very bad, do not engage. Will never engage their services anymore. Few months back they changed our electrical DB box and a few of our socket cover (only), not the full set. now, the socket cover came out and ask him to come and take a look but he charged $60 to replace a few parts and screw. Also, he told me that he is busy and if we don't want to repair, he will leave immediately. Very irresponsible. Our socket has been there for 20 years previously and there was no issue, only a small crack so we decided to change it. It should be a follow up when the 1st job was not done properly but we were charged additional $60. Better try other electricians.

I engaged Richard last year to help me renew my company's electrical license as my previous licensed electrician had passed away. I was charged $700 for the renewal of license but I paid him anyway because it was an emergency. The usual charge from is usually about $400. He ensured me it will be settled ASAP. But after a week and checking with the officer at EMA, i was informed that there wasn't anyone who came to renew the license. I called Richard and demand for an explanation. He then ensured me he will get it done and I trusted him again. 6 months passed, and i just checked with the EMA officer. Guess what, he didn't renew the license at all. DO NOT ENGAGE HIM OR HIS COMPANY.

Richard and team was responsive and quick to arrive to inspect the power failure, but this is a business lacking in competency and honesty. The "diagnosis" was that the main circuit breaker was faulty and the entire thing had to be replaced for $500 or more. However, this was not only wrong but extremely overpriced. When I got a second opinion from another electrician, the circuit breaker was working fine. Even if it wasn’t, it should cost less than $200 to replace. Other reviews will corroborate that this is not the first time this has happened. Engage at your own risk.

Worker came and quote 380 to charge a rccb switch. Market rate is about 100-150 and he charge more than 3x of the rates. Paid him 50 for transport and diagnosis. Like other reviews out there over prices services. Engage at own risk
