★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Soup is quite tasty but rather salty, felt thirsty afterwards. Ordered 1 bowl of short rib and 1 prime rib.
My bowl of short rib had 1 frozen and 1 fresh rib, i can taste the difference, but not extremely obvious. The frozen rib's bone is also darker in color.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taste the same as the Outram branch along Keppel Road. The soup was piping hot and warmed the heart with every sip, it was very good - extremely peppery but yet not overpowering. Unfortunately, the side dishes were quite bad - tasteless and not well braised. Staff were attentive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was a customer here since 1990’s. Standard has dropped. Ordered prime pork ribs but meat was tough and dry. Soup was salty, felt very thirsty after that. 3 stars for braised intestines and liver, still good after all these years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good choice for those who love Teochew food and taste not too “heavy”. Other than Bak Kut Teh, can try their other Teochew dishes which will not disappointed you; story might different if you’re heavy taster.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and I decided to come here for dinner and arrived around 6pm. It was very crowded but it’s alright. After we sat and ordered our dishes, we waited for 1.5 hour and had to remind them that our dishes haven’t arrived. Honestly quite disappointing. The three tables beside us arrived later than us but had their dishes served first. Nothing wrong with that if we only had to wait a few more minutes but nope, 1.5 hour. After we reminded the staff, they then came over and told us one of our dishes were sold out and had to choose another. Really upsetting and we didn’t even get a proper apology. Couldn’t the staff have notified us earlier ?
This place is very understaffed and getting them to do one task is very difficult. Please do something about your ordering system during peak hour. I would have gave 1 star but the dishes were still tasty, just very bad service.
I don’t usually give such bad reviews but this experience really upset my family and I.
We will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Had premier and regular ribs, salted veg, cruellers, tau pok, liver, kidney, dessert
Good quality ribs, same for the other items.
Remained consistently good over the years.
Boss lady comes around to check on patrons.
Will definitely go back again.
Good food, value for money.
