Ya Kun Kaya Toast - Eastpoint Mall

Like it's location in the mall. Staffs are friendly, fast and helpful. Quality of foods are above average. Good place for yam cha and la kopi in the afternoon.

Food was good, as expected of Ya Kun! However, service wasn't superb. Ordered a few times through Foodpanda and purposely went down a few minutes after pickup time so that i didnt have to wait for my order. When i reached, none of the staffs attended to me when i stood in front of their pick up area. ALL of them avoided my eye contact and didnt bother to ask if i needed anything. Had to wait for a few minutes before sounding my request. Happened twice. There was once when i wanted to get a ice tea and was at the front of the queue but cashier didnt attend to me while i was waiting in line. There wasn't a large volume of crowd either. Just walked away because it was a waste of time. Please work on customer service... terrible and slow even when there are so many staff. WELP

Ya Kun never disappoints! Residents of Simei can finally have a hearty Singapore-style breakfast every morning. Non-residents can also chill and 'la kopi' at this wonderful outlet. What's best is that it is conveniently located beside the escalator on level 2!

Can't believe it took a non-local friend to tell me Ya Kun serves the best coffee in Singapore ? Dam good coffee indeed! Highly recommend the ice coffee!! Fragrant traditional taste

This is one of the newly opened Ya Kun franchise in Eastpoint Mall, taking over Ah Khoo’s space. Layout is much brighter and open. The cleaning staff was pretty nice and tried to help me find a seat. The staff doing the front counter/bread toasting and drinks are probably a tad over whelmed with the sheer volume of customers which keeps on coming in, even at 7-8pm. Eggs are coming in too fast vs the rate of the breads, so you will mostly have colder eggs vs the hot breads. Which Isn’t the most ideal. But it’s ok, coz thank goodness for the name of Yakun, customers will keep on coming in. Good thing to note is that the staff control the soy sauce and pepper, so such items are not handled by various hands of the customers and ensuring less transfer of germs. You can always ask for the soy sauce to be poured into a plate, so that you can control how much soy sauce goes into your eggs.

Very disorganised store. Poor customer service when managing crowd control due to SMMs. Food preparation service is also very slow. Saving grace is the food quality is on par with typical Ya Kun outlets.

Extremely Bad experience at this Yakun Outlet. Came here to takeaway and they always either get my order wrong or miss out something in between. Service Attitude in this outlet is by far the worst I have visited across Singapore. Ordered a Kaya Toast With No Butter, only to receive Kaya Toast With Butter. Ordered a French Toast Alacarte, only to found out that the tub of Kaya that is supposed to be with the French Toast is missing. Probably the worst Yakun Outlet, I have visited so far. Toast is soft and soggy not crispy like other outlets. Drinks sometimes is diluted. Waiting time is also especially long at this outlet.

Have u tried steam bun before ? You have to try ! from donkeys years ago all only know kaya toast ? yes it’s still the best … until you try the steam bun oh it’s heavenly! One downside is the entrance seats is very stuffy , perhaps can have stand fan over there. Overall is very very very nice to have you here in SImei Eastpoint!
