Yakiniku shokudo Lot One - 347 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4

Ordered beef soup noodle, 3 star for this dish. Find that the fried onion has overtook the beef soup taste. Suggest not to put fried onion or can put in a small dish for ppl to put if they want. Also ordered shokudo set, 4 star for this. Like then thin beef piece and a thicker one. Sorry, not sure which part im eating haha. Given kimchi, but not refillable. Price is quite affordable. Staff quite attentive.

I feel the staff should be trained to handle situations and be more services oriented. During my visit on a non busy period, none of the working staff seems interested to serve. The QR code menu wasn't working and we had trouble placing an order. Informed the staff and asked if we could just order in person as we were really hungry but the staff is insistent on us doing it online. So they tried replacing the QR code, only to fail again. Eventually another staff helped to take our order manually. My colleague who was having his Chicken stone bowl, chewed a foreign object in his mouth and spat out a plastic piece. Feedback to the staff, who looked more amused than being apologetic, simply told us he was not sure how the plastic piece got in there but will have it exchanged for him. If services and proper food handling isn't important for restaurants, I'm not sure what else is.

It was really crowded on this fri night! The food and sauces are great, prices are affordable. Kudos to the staff because this is a newly opened place and the place got really busy, sometimes the orders got a little mixed up but their service was really great, the staff is friendly and helpful, which made the overall dining experience very nice!

This is a halal restaurant located at Lot One level 2, pork is not on menu. Ordered the chicken set and it’s not nice, the price is $15 for whole set. The chicken is tasteless and hard to chew. I would recommend Yakiniku Like over this place!

The taste is average, if you have really eaten authentic Japanese barbecue, then I think this one is far from it. The service experience is terrible, the waiter basically ignores you after putting you in your assigned seat. If you don't ask for it they neither provide children's cutlery nor any seasoning that a yakiniku restaurant should have.Plus the taste doesn’t match the price at all.

Finally something new in Lot 1! Just opened and so not crowded. Comparing it to Yakiniku Go, beef almost the same in terms of taste, quantity and price. They do differ in the dipping sauce though, one is tangy lemony and the other traditional salty. Former goes really well with beef tongue. Service is a bit slow as they also serve non Yakiniku dishes. Not bad overall, can give it a try if you stay around Lot 1 and have a craving for Yakiniku. ?
