Average Hotel. Nothing special here, has the usual amenities. However I have never felt so unwelcome and unwanted in a hotel. Staff were incredibly hostile towards our group of 6 university students. While using the member/guest lounge we felt that the hotel staff didn't want us there but had no grounds to kick us out. They constantly checked on us, and reminded us of all the things we weren't allowed to do in the lounge, yet we hadn't done anything prohibited in the lounge. Asking staff for a extension cord so we could charge our laptops seemed to be a huge issue and something that was a pain to accommodate. I usually expect to pay for a hotel and receive access to all the amenities regardless of age, status or appearance. Not once were we rude, rowdy or obnoxious in the lounge space or hotel grounds, yet we were met only with subtle hostility. Do not recommend to stay here unless you wish to feel unwelcome. Clearly the hotel see's the business people and YMCA members as the priority over paying hotel guests.

We stayed at one of its newly renovated rooms. It's clean and, surprisingly for a small budget room, it's roomy. My husband and I could walk around comfortably. I've observed that whoever designed the room thought smartly. For instance it didn't have side tables. But it had carved out squares in the wall at each bedside so these saved floor space and at the same time were very functional. I put my paperback, eyeglasses and phone in the cutout before sleeping. Universal electric outlets and light switches are also at a hand's reach from each bedside. The bathroom door is positioned diagonally so once again more room is permitted for even two people in the bathroom. It makes me think why Japan's budget hotels haven't thought of a similar room design before. YMCA's breakfast is basic. It served pork and vegetable buns, chicken sausages, pork and beans, eggs, cereals, salads, fruits and desserts.

Like any other hotel. Rooms quite small but I think it’s okay. Cozy Cafe and lobby. Big auditorium. Service is quite average though. The beds are very hard. I feel like this hotel needs some renovating, but the rest are okay for me.

The location of the hostel is very very good. But unfortunately everything else is really bad. The pictures in Google look really good but in reality the room are not cozy. The bathroom has not even a plug socket. Moreover you can hear the neighbor room when they're talking with normal voice volume. That's totally not good if you want to sleep. Also the entrance door of the room has a gap so light can come in when you actually want it dark inside to sleep. The breakfast is also really bad. So in total a really bad hostel. Stay outside of this hostel and you will definitely have a better time in Singapore.

I was here almost two years ago and still sometimes think back to the terrible experience I had there. They poured bleach (hopefully by accident…) on my laundry and then denied it. I had to throw away all the clothing. I contacted the manager, but no results. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Also, the rooms are dingy and breakfast very basic.

These one star reviews are true... This is not a hotel, this is a lodging for foreign domestic workers, who actually cooked in the rooms, which leaves fumes lingering. I'd get that the staffs are God-serving individuals, still the place need individuals with hospitality experiences...
