Need to call to place order in advance, if not, have to wait for 1.5 hr especially for Yam Kueh.

My favorites r the abacus (available only on weekends), pumpkin kueh n soon kueh/ bangkuang kueh (the latter is a good substitute for the soon kueh). Chilli is good too. As others hv mentioned, call in advance to avoid disappointment. N call b4 5pm for next day collection. They close often n irregularly (this is a reason for my 4* rating), no updates on social media, so calling is a good way of making sure u dont make a wasted trip.

Fresh ingredients and soft texture Teochew delicacy. KB neighbourhood favourite.

This is the best kuehs I have ever eaten. I love the man guang/soon kueh most. It is so fragrant and skin is soft. If you keep the yam cake and peng kueh till the next day, you can fry it and it is equally tasty as it is when it is first steamed. Also love their suan pan zi. Recommend to preorder to avoid disappointment cos it might be sold out early. my family and friends love their kuehs too. Great snack for partying.

Very popular and better to call in advance before you make your way down to avoid disappointment. As its near my in law place I usually just drop by to see what they have and always very limited selection. So far I have tried almost everything on the menu though and to me the best is the soon kueh as its hard to get real soon kueh nowadays. The rest are so so only, much prefer yong's kueh.

Having heard a lot of good things abt Yuan Wei from a Teochew friend, I popped down to this popular kueh stall housed in a small coffee shop to try out these supposedly bestseller kuehs: • Soon kueh, which is indeed filled with chopped bamboo shoots inside (by the way, 'soon kueh' literally means 'bamboo shoots kueh') • Mang-guang kueh or jicama kueh (commonly mistaken as the soon kueh these days), as well as • Poong kueh (rice kueh) The stall appears to be very popular and most people would call in advance to 'reserve' the kuehs before they swing by to collect them. And those who did swing by without placing an advance order are usually in for a disappointment, as I've personally witnessed. All looks exciting to me, but there is just one problem after I tried the kuehs: I really wonder why people go all gaga over these kuehs? As a true-blue Teochew, I can say that I've definitely had much better kuehs elsewhere and this is ordinary at best. So, why such fanfare? I'm inclined to say that this has been overrated, and even, overhyped. I don't represent all tastebuds for sure, but if you ask me, I probably wouldn't make a second trip down for these so-so kuehs again. ?

The specialty yam cake is nice. The filling is more peppery than usual. Must call to order if you want to take away.
