Sunday 7pm really busy, full house, but only have to wait approx 10min for table. Salmon Mentaiko sushi very generous on the mentaiko sauce. So was the champion floss maki. Truffle fries good worth for the portion. Sashimi platter - three thick slices of three types of fish. Unagi don abit let down on the price, and rice just sticky white rice. Yuzu soda lot of yuzu concentrate. Service staff alright. But would prefer to have given side plates.

Not sure are they under staff or the staff dun care. Couple before us waited for 10 mins but table are still not cleared and cleaned. The couple was told to just seat anywhere and we were told to wait for them to clean the tables. Staff has no urgency to get us seated did not even apologise.

Average food quality. This is my 1st time trying. Sashimi is thick cut, but not very fresh. Ambience is acceptable with the pricing.

Nice restaurant and nice food after hiking at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Quite a good variety of raw and cooked food. Fresh sashimi and very crispy soft shell crab ?. The serving is just nice and the pricing reasonable. Will be back to try their finger food. Only shortcoming is lack of deserts and short beverages list, but not a show stopper.

They are very short handed but the waitress is still very nice… I enjoy the cosy neighbourhood vibes & food

I’d actually give this a two star but cos of Covid, give them some benefit of the doubt… the serving was slow, really slow , even tho there were few customers (in HA mode), and some take-away orders; … and they only had one chef; and one of the waitress totally forgot our sashimi order till our mains came and had to wait like forever, really forever for the sashimi (it’s like, slicing 3 types of raw fish…?); and I had finished my main don dish and my wife held back her then getting cold pork don. Sashimi was a bit ex but slices were thick. My unagi-don, ok, but both our egg were over cooked; and the unagi was pretty chewy…. Don’t remember the unagi being like that. I hope this F&B will survive, I can relate to their challenges but unfortunately, I won’t come back again.

Two types of sashimi rolled within the fluffy sushi rice & drizzled with generous amount of housemade sauce lastly topped with chicken floss & roes. The various ingredients provide different dimension in taste & texture. You get to taste the crunchy roes followed by creamy sauce, the soft fresh sashimi and fluffy sushi rice all in one mouthful! OISHI! Samurai Unagi Aburi Maki. The cheese on top of the Maki is not too cheesy hence it doesn't overpower the Unagi natural sweetness. YUMMY! Salmon Aburi Don. The rice was covered by aburi-styled salmon slices & topped with fish roes. The result of torching gets you that smokiness char & creaminess plus that melt-in-the-mouth experience. Budu Yaki Don. Generously loaded with pork slices & an onsen egg on top of rice. The pork was soft tender & very savoury flavourful. The addition of the onsen egg enhance the creaminess & flavour of the don. Beef Udon. The udon was served in a bowl of light dashi stock with wakame seaweed, fish cake & generous serving of beef slices. Light & palatable bowl. Yuba Trio Platter. 3 types of very fresh thick cut sashimi. Yubahut is a no frills eatery, serving food of very good quality. Had lunch here on a weekday Friday and it was rather quiet. Service was prompt (not surprising). We had the rice bowls which were presented well and tasted pretty good. Tastes fresher than the larger franchises such as Ichiban boshi. Will be back to try their sushi rolls.
