I like the prawn beehoon soup. The prawn is fresh and the broth is good. Will come for others if i am here.

If you are looking for a taste of traditional prawn noodles, this is one of the best around. The soup is balanced, with neither the pork or prawn flavour overpowering the other. Rather, they complement each other, together with the sweetness from sugarcane instead of normal sugar or rock sugar used by others. Do come early as they normally sell out by 12+, 1pm.

Prawn noodle with a very traditional taste. Soup was pretty good to me, well balanced. Noodle was the very standard yellow noodle, nothing to shout about. For $3SGD, you get slices of fishcake, lean meat and 3 de-shell prawns. Seems to be local favourite as they constantly have queue.

Bruh, this prawn noodles. Where do I even start. Their pork broth, combined with black sugar cane and red dates just makes the broth so full. I really dislike those places that only has the prawn head flavour because it's heavy but only on the surface. This prawn noodles is so addictive my parent's made me take a cholesterol test because I was eating it about 4 times a week. (The doctor said my cholesterol levels are PERFECT btw) When I order, I don't even need to say a word. Auntie just looks at me and asks me how many bowls. The prawn mee is so good my friend wrote a song about my love of prawn noodles that sounds so legit I really want to install speakers at their shop and play it all day but I shy. xP (He also complains I don't look at him the way I look at the bowl of prawn noodles, see pic) Auntie/Uncle, if you are reading this, please teach me your recipe before you retire because the day that you go away, I would be really sad. I shall leave the lyrics to the song here. Baby, you left me craving more of you do you know what you're doing to me? Baby, i love your taste on my tongue the savoury and sweet umami Auntie please give me one bowl And add extra chilli I can't get you out of my mind Your broth is just so divine Your soup and your noodles Have my approval Cause' I love prawn noodles Honey, your prawns are plump and crunchy You're the epitome of seafood cuisine Honey, the kang kong and the tao gei Just blends together in harmony Auntie please give me two bowls Both of them just for me The day that you would go away Is the day that I would pray For you to return to me But for now I will enjoy your soup And your lovely thick bee hoon It just makes me so happy Auntie please give me three bowls And also your recipe Ps. the laksa @ Mayflower market is amazing too. I eat that on tuesdays because prawn noodle stall close.

Didn’t see any long queues this morning at around 8 plus at Mayflower Food Centre. Take-away my regular prawn noodles at $3 cheap and delicious. ?? #foodaholiculture

Lor mee 卤面, a popular local hawker delicacy which you can almost find in each hawker centre. Although this stall's prawn noodles are quite popular among here, their Lor Mee is equally good as well. You will get your money worth of generous ingredients and their Lor Mee is fried fish fillets version type. Their gravy is non starchy type, with the balance of vinegar added just right. Quite tasty for me.

Tried this today and really enjoyed it. The elderly couple running the stall are selling good quality for only $3 a serving. They are proud of how they prepare the tasty soup - with sugarcane to balance the cooling properties of seafood and red date to nourish the body (as uncle explained to me) - and insisting that soup must be packed in container and not plastic bag (can cause cancer causing toxic as aunty explained). Amazing couple, this will be my go-to place for this dish.

Visited on a Saturday 11ish. Queue was alright, roughly 4 pax and around 20mins wait. Order the cheapest option to try: $3 Prawn noodle dry First impression was that for a $3 portion, the ingredients were quite generous. 5 small shrimps 4 slices of fish cakes 3/4 piece of pork slices Generous amount of noodles However, I felt that the taste was pretty average considering the good reviews. I asked for a dry version but it felt like a semi soup version. 1/3 of the bowl was filled with soup and there was barely any chilli sauce or any sauce as a base. Prawn soup was quite subtle, little prawny with a slight sweetness. Have tasted better elsewhere definitely. Saw many ppl order the more expensive soup versions so maybe that the way to go but probably wouldn't come back again until if you just want a cheap dish to eat.
