Ordered unagi don with truffle sauce. Though tasty, the portion is way too small for the steep price. The other menu items might be more worth it.

The food was great, you can customise whatever sauce you want for the don

Quite expensive for portion. Soba noodle was abit soft for my liking. Truffle shoya was quite mild. Lok lok broccoli and salmon belly bites was good! Chicken was not bad, very tender. Tako and mushrooms were so-so.

Paid $12.50~ Ordered a customised Unagi Soba with truffle mayo and coleslaw + onsen egg as side dish. I really wanted to try beef but twas sold out, not a big fan nor a frequent eater of Unagi so I can't really tell so much about freshness or texture, but the savory teriyaki+char taste was there. The onsen egg was in good texture but it was chilled so it was cold at the centre, absolutely perfect if it was warm. I'll come back for the beef! ?

Standard drop a lot since its opening days. Poor value for money. Lesser ingredients to choose from and smaller portions. The taste is also one dimensional and could hardly tell its Japanese. The chosen sauce was also not given. And this happened twice already and their errors in customer orders seem to he consistent. Will not patronise again.

Prices were reasonable for the pork bowl. However was promised some new seaweed salad and paid extra, it was missing from my meal despite being charged. Probably a mistake from the chef. Pork leaves more to be desired as they were only barely charred on one side making the pork chewy and not as tender as I thought it would be. Sauce given could be more generous as they were barely any.

Haven't eat.. but the wait already.. .. Unlike when they first open.. The queue was very long.. now weekday lunch.. the queue is noticeably shorter.. but the waiting time.. OMG.. From what I can see, they take pride in their preparation.. but the time taken is frankly.. .. I just hope the taste justifies the waiting time.. Update: The food was.. ok.. better than most Kopitiam/Foodcourt "Japanese" Bento yes.. But.. For the taste. Unless I am VERY FREE.. I would probably give it a miss.. given the many choice of food at Yishun Park Hawker Center where it is situated. Value wise, it is ok.. portion was plentiful. Surprisingly, the seasoned seaweed that goes with the meal are the item that I enjoyed most.. more than the teriyaki chicken that I ordered.. Polish up that preparation time to stand a chance against the cutthroat hawker Ecosystem.. good luck.

New stall that opened recently (Nov 2020). The owner was featured in social media videos promoting his concept of Japanese Cai Png (economy rice). Basically it's a mixed donburi meal where you can select from pre determined sets or mix and match your own desired bowl. Highly recommend the Onsen egg, lok lok broccoli and aburi pork. They open at 11:30am and there is already a huge crowd waiting for them to start on a regular tuesday. Food is quite good and the sauce is slighly on the sweeter side. Highly recommended
