Good, clean place for a reasonable price.

A nice place to stay in Singapore ? we stayed there for 4 nights (Aug24-27),, if you are looking for an affordable place to stay, lodges at siglap is a good choice! The place was spacious enough for 2 people (me and my friend), it was clean and comfortable also.. we stayed at the 2nd floor which was accessible enough as the place has no elevator - good for excercise though! Haha! Owner and staff are also friendly and accommodating, we arrived there at 3 in the morning due to delayed flight but they were still smiling. And immediately brought us to our room so we can rest. The room that was given to us was clean and comfortable with complete beddings (pillows and blankets) and is also spacious enough for the 2 of us and was even in front of the table where the mini kitchen is placed (microwave, plates and utensils, cold and hot water dispenser, etc.) - so if you get hungry during midnight or early morning, we just have to step out of our room and prepare our food. Haha! The toilet are separated from the bathrooms so me and my friend can take a bath at the same time which is good as it saves time bcoz you dont need to wait for one another to finish before you can take a bath or go to the toilet - as compared to those in expensive hotels which are usually so big but is combined together so you need to wait for the other to finish before you can use the toilet or bathroom. In front of the place is 2 bus stops accross each other so there's no problem at all for transportation, just take bus #155 and you can go to the nearest MRT station - green line (Paya Lebar Station or Eunos).. then you're just about 3 stations away from the airport.. there's also 711 downstairs and different food choices. There are also a lot of different establishments surrounding the place, Siglap Center where there is McDonalds, Subway and other shops like electronics shop. Just take a walk and you will find Cold Storage, Salons, KFC, other food choices that offers different cuisines, Starbucks, Fair Price, Gasoline station, etc. When we informed them (around 11pm) that we are leaving around 2am for our 6am flight, the receptionist who is about to sleep already even offered us food to take before we leave ? which capped up our stay in their hostel. So if you're looking for a place to stay in Singapore that is affordable and conducive enough for a short period of time (for backpackers), Lodges at Siglap is the place to stay! Roam around Singapore the whole day, go back to the hostel to sleep, repeat! Haha! Thanks Lodges at Siglap!!! We will surely consider your place again when we come back to Singapore! See you!!!
