Don't know what the fuss is about this place? I thought perhaps the price, but for 4 dollars you get 4 half prawns (2 full prawns) and a lot of carbs. Old school style soup base with some pork ribs I believe and prawn. Move along. Not worth the line or waking up in the morning for. Perhaps the line is from the blind loyalty of how long this place has been around. Saving grace for this place is perhaps the soup base, it is tasty and not too salty or sweet or bland. I suggest trying the 5 dollar portion instead of 4, at least there is some pork ribs making the load of noodles in the bowl seem less lonely.

Was my regular until they up the price from $3 to $3.50 for a small portion. Since then, noticed that the queue got shorter too. Went there last week and ordered my usual small size portion. When I was served, they demanded $4 even after they had accepted my order for a small size portion. When I told them that, their reply was, "Oh, today no $3.50 because the prawns are bigger." This is not the way to do business! Will never patronize this stall again as their principle of doing business is wrong. Also, there are other prawn noodle stalls in that hawker centre.

Ordered dry version of meepoh with "everything" and meehoon in soup just prawns only. Broth and chilli are nice in dry meepoh version. Price slightly higher and portion is normal.

I ordered the "standard" S$5.00 bowl yellow noodle soup. The lady taking my order asked me whether I wanting "everything." I told her I want only prawns and pork ribs and more pork lard. It was relatively a large bowl, with four half cut pieces of prawns, two pork ribs and a generous amount of noodles. The soup was tastier as compared to the one I tried earlier. It had that savory prawn and umami flavour and just the right amount of saltiness which I liked. Unfortunately I feel that it needs more depth. The soup could have been slightly thicker. The (halved) prawns are firm and chewy - and they are very fresh (doesn't have that stale prawn smell and after taste). The pork ribs are real pork ribs with just one rib bone - not pork pieces with soft bones and cartilages provided by other stalls that I had tried before. The meat is tender but needs to be cooked a little bit longer. The meat don't really come of the bone that easily. Well cooked pork rib has whole chunk of meat coming/sliding off the bone very easily and cleanly by just using one's spoon and chopsticks. With their ribs, I had to scrape what's left of it with my teeth. As I was lugging around the tray for a good 10 minutes or so before sitting down to eat - buying coffee, youtiao (Chinese cruller) for my deserts and looking for an empty table and seat, the yellow noodles were still very springy and has a nice bite into it. Despite the fact that they had forgotten about my request for more pork lard (which I found not even a single piece), it was a decent bowl of prawn noodle soup overall.

I came to this food centre with the intention to try out the ‘Yummy’ yong tau foo with rice dumpling ‘bak zhang’ but alas I noticed the next stall selling prawn noodle and it looked delicious to me. So I queued for a $5 ‘mee pok’ prawn with pork ribs and pig skins. Well, the broth and chilli sauce were very tasty and delicious. Will definitely come back for more!

Ordered it on Grab food. Taste is so nostalgic of what good prawn noodles used to taste like.. Something that is so hard to find nowadays. The ingredients are fresh and aplenty and the soup is delicious! Coupled with their spicy chilli padi, it's a perfect bowl of Prawn noodle soup. They sell out so fast that they had to cancel my order and were polite enough to call me to inform me it was sold out at 11am! So the next day I made sure I ordered way earlier and still waited around an hour for my food to arrive. But its well worth the wait!!! Highly recommended!!

Wanted to try something else at 216 bedok central food center but unfortunately they were closed for the day. Chance upon this prawn noodle with a queue and decided to give it a try. The queue wasnt long but had to wait about 15mins before it was my turn to order. A bowl of noodle starts from SGD$4. First impression, portion very small. It comes with a few strips of lean pork, 3 sliced prawns. Broth is dark in colour, flavourful and rich. Prawns were fresh, meat was tender. Portion of noodle was quite little, barely a few mouthful for me. Overall quite a good prawn noodle. Can consider ordering the large portion.

Prawn soup is nice and tasty when you add chilli powder in it. But quite pricey for minimum order now is $5!!
