This is probably the worst curry chicken noodle that I have ever tried. The broth was diluted like plain water and lacked the fragrance of curry. The serving of chicken (two pieces) was pathetic for $5. The fishcake was tasteless. The only saving grace of the meal was the tao pok, which were incredibly soft and generous in portion. The sambal chilli was good too. Not worth wasting your money, time and calories.

Don't really understand the hype and queue for this stall. The curry was watery to the extent of being called diluted. It wasn't spicy at all despite being a curry. The poached chicken tasted out of place because it wasn't cooked in the curry. Even the potatoes used were not the type suitable for curry.

Saw two stalls of chicken curry mee with same name, are they operated by the same boss / franchise? I ordered from the one on the right cos the queue was shorter. Probably bad idea cos I didn’t find my noodles tasty. Mine was rather oily , seen with visible layer of red chilli oil.

Decided to try Ah Heng Curry Chicken Noodles @ahhengccm for a change! Topped with a generous amount of poached chicken, tau pok & fish cake slices, the bowl of spicy, slurp-worthy comfort food comes in three sizes ($5.50/$6.50/$7.50). BB opted for the yellow noodles/thin bee hoon combination so that it would absorb the curry broth better! While the curry broth has a thinner consistency and less lemak than what I would prefer, it still packs a potent curry flavour absorbed by the soft tau pok slices. The chunks of poached chicken meat were sizable and tender, and the potato was soft but not to the point that it would disintegrate into the broth! Unfortunately, the chilli lacked the spicy punch that I'd hoped for so it didn't really do much for me. ⁣

curry is full of flavor, just felt thin and not so robust. chicken is tender and juicy. overall, above average chicken curry noodle. queue clears fast. above average price for portion in hawker center.

Curry Chicken Bee Hoon. Curry Chicken Bee Hoon is fast becoming my favourite since it pairs a robust spicy broth with a delicious tender chicken. But I have always stick to a couple of stalls since its not really a dish that is commonly found in our food centres/ coffeeshop. And I only trust stalls that only serve the curry chicken noodles and nothing else. Let me know if you know of good curry chicken noodles which I must definitely try.

Ordered $7 to share between 2. Was smaller than expected. Curry tasted nice but could be more fragrant, given that it was my first try. Still a comforting food on a rainy day. Chicken was silky smooth.

Multiple-year Singapore Michelin Guide listed Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon at Hong Lim Market was founded by Ah Heng in 1967. With many accolades including celebrity visits, it has an established 50+ year reputation. This is a unique dish with a combination of noodles in curry gravy with potatoes and chicken meat you usually get from a Hainanese Chicken Rice stall. Although it looks like laksa, it is not Laksa. Verdict: Good but not great. With the smallest bowl priced at $5.50, I don’t think it’s value for money
