Best Soon kueh and pumpkin kueh in Singapore. Never been a fan of Soon kueh until I tried Ah Yee's soon kueh. The skin is thin and the kueh is filled with so much ingredients! The mixture of bamboo shoots, turnip, dried prawns and mushroom worked together so well. Best eaten with their chilli and a dash of sweet sauce. Their pumpkin kueh is also dense and filled with so much ingredients. They don't scrimp on their quality. Their ku chai kueh is also recommended!

The condo did a groupbuy and we ordered soon kueh, yam kueh and also a small archar. The soon kueh was quite filling and tasty, while the yam kueh also had bits of pumpkin or sweet potato. The pieces were generous in size. While the skin was soft, it was also a little on the thick side.

Thought it will be nice after reading so many online reviews but to me it's totally not up to standard. Had a box of kuehs to share with family members and so I cut them into a few pieces so that I can try soon kuek, yam kueh,Png kueh. The soon kueh tasted ok but I bite on something like a sharp broken pcs of seashell, as such I didn't let my elderly mom tried as it can cut your tongue if not careful.who on earth put shell ? in soon kueh??? The yam Kueh was a big disappointment as it is sweet n not fragrant, I really missed a stall which I patronized many years ago for yam kueh but not to be found now. These kuehs here really tasted so so and I really feel that Singaporeans nowadays have very low standard..sigh

Found a strand of steel scrubber on the kueh while frying it for kids. Obvious on the kueh skin, but if in the fillings.. ? Be careful !!

Soon kueh is plump and skin is mochi like and the fillings and flavourful. The glutinous rice is pretty good. On a sideline, I think more can be done to the ordering system to ease the pressure on the overall operations especially when they are receiving overwhelming orders. Currently, no matter if you are placing an advance order or not, you still have to join the long queue and probably wait more than 30mins as they could have run out of soon kueh. Nonetheless, I salute the heroines (aunties working in the kitchen), despite their age, they are working so hard to churn out the orders. Jia you!

Nostalgic n Yummy Teochew kuehs n cakes just like momma used to make- Delicious Soon kueh/turnips, Koo Chye kueh/chives, yam n pumpkin kuehs, glutinous rice with mushrooms n even Nyonya bubor hitam kuehs with either corn or red beans! The chilli sauce for the kuehs is also definitely worth a mention for those who like them spicy. Speedy, efficient service for a quick takeaway makes it convenient for a quick tea time snack or for breakies. And yes they do a nice kaya jam too ……. Slurpppp! ?

Ah Yee is not just a lovely lady, but an extremely hardworking and talented lady! Each and every time I bring my guests, the png kueh and soon kueh bring on happy smiles. Totally homemade, totally fresh and totally comforting in a good nostalgic way. The best part is the skin of all the kuehs- tasty, stretchy , chewy , but not too thick. The fillings are adequate and together , a lovely mouthful. They also make very good achar and kaya. I was lucky to chance on the team making their kuehs behind the glass Really really grateful for the aunties and young helpers to make every single kueh by hand for us to enjoy

To me, the eastern part of Singapore is really a foodie’s paradise. It is not difficult to chance upon eateries or shops that sell their specialities. This is one of those. I have seen their listing and menu on the food delivery apps, but only today I stepped into their shop. It feels so neat and quaint - perhaps the busy period of making and steaming is over, or it is done at the back. I bought the glutinous rice, soon kueh and ku chye kueh. The glutinous rice is so good - chewy soft and has generous amount of dried shrimps and mushrooms. The skin of the kueh is so thin but yet can hold the generous amount of ingredients inside. Usually I go for soon kueh more than ku chye kueh, but this ku chye kueh is really flavourful that you have to give it a try.
