★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw long queue and tried, untidy stall, messy packing, bought 6 packets and one totally leaked, spicy minced meat has some sand, price list incorrect, don’t think good value food, portions small.
Curry chicken taste ok, vegetables soggy and taste stale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most value for money teochew porridge stall around, with home cooked styled dishes! Paid only $13 for four meat dishes (one comes with eggs too), two vegs and two bowls of porridge for two pax. Really good quality and evening the braised pork is cooked very well. Definitely will be back and it’s open even on public holidays till late.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The porridge is cooked to my liking (solid rice with not too thick soup. Personal preference). The dishes are ok, typical Teochew porridge dishes. Price is quite reasonable. 2 veg, 1 meat and 2 bowls of porridge for 1 pax costs $3.00. Long queue during lunch and dinner times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have definitely had better teochew porridges around, but this is good enough. The queues are perpetually there, and everyone there at night is bound to be eating from their stall. Luckily for them, the other stalls are all closed at night.
Their teochew porridge is good but not great. The special teochew fish cake was lovely, and they recommended the signature fried shrimp which I enjoyed. Had a lot of vegetables myself, including the hairy gourd and the bitter gourd. Cabbage is sweet and yummy. When you mix them all with the white porridge, yum yum in the tum tum!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly one of the best Teochew porridge in AMK .
Ordered 3 Meat & 1 veg, (Shark meat, Curry chicken, Pork balls, bittergourd) all for the cost of $5.50.
The pork balls are especially popular and all the other dishes were on point and delicious.
The queue can get long during lunch and dinner hours, however there are ample staff running the store and the queue moves quickly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ann Hoo is a 老字号 traditional teochew porridge that has been around for the longest time in 527 Ang Mo Kio hawker and market. I am their regular patron and their teochew porridge and dishes has been consistently good throughout the years.
One of the must order dishes at Ann Hoo is their handmade teochew fish cake, they made them fresh daily every morning! The other dishes such as feos meat balls, veggies, meat and eggs are all taste decent and great! It really reminds me of homecooked food.
Do come early if you want to avoid long queues. Their dinner crowd queue can be seriously long but the uncles and aunties that is serving us works very fast and you shouldn't have to wait very long.
Do come and try it out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Price really cheap. 5 dishes including a grouper for $16.50. Unfortunately the quality of the food is normal. Especially the fish was a disappointment. Wasn't fresh. Again got to be realistic cheap doesn't mean good. Will give a miss.
