Purchased polaris 69 with dt swiss 240 hubs. These wheels ride very well and feel sturdy on flats and even while climbing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more aero wheelset.

I have been riding and racing road bikes at an amateur level for over a decade now and have had the chance to race with multiple wheel brands over the years. Being a relatively lighter rider (66kg), I had been skeptical about deep section wheels which tend to often make it harder for longer road races with strong cross-winds where I spend more energy keeping the bike upright. I came across Ascent Bikes' Polaris wheels on Peak Torque and GC Performance Youtube channels. While there are many reviews of different wheels out there, I had been skeptical about most of them. After reading more about how Ascent Bikes tested their wheels for aerodynamic drag reduction and the test results, I was curious enough to give this a shot. I raced with these wheels at Tour de Bloom and some of the local Vancouver criteriums and was blown away (no pun intended) with two aspects of this wheelset - 1. Stability in cross winds - Despite the road race stage 1 at Tour de Bloom having 18kph gusts of cross winds, these wheels were solid and planted and even for a moment didn't show any signs of twitching. If anything, the aero advantage of these wheels helped me save energy which I could put to better use when it mattered. 2. Carrying speed and momentum - These wheels carry speed and momentum through the corners and in a sprint extremely well. I have been racing with Enve SES 5.6s until now and these wheels (built with DT Swiss 180 hubs) are significantly better. I am very impressed with not only the product but also with the staff of Ascent Bikes, who proactively reached out for product satisfaction/feedback and their willingness to ensure customer satisfaction. If you are in the market for a new set of wheels, I highly recommend the Polaris wheels!

QX provided prompt and comprehensive replies to my queries from pre-purchase to post-purchase. He also updated me on the progress of my Ascent wheelset and other parts. Very customer-oriented and friendly, but most importantly quality products and aftersales service :) Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely patronise Ascent Bikes again!

Buying a bicycle in Singapore has become a soul-less experience, especially with big names like Brompton where you have to ballot just to get an appointment to view a bike and wait many months to get the bike - if you are lucky. Either that or bike shops are just too busy to take your calls or rude when you finally get through to them. That was my experience until I discovered Ascent Bikes and specifically its owner, Qing Xiang (QX). A local bike company owned by a passionate cyclist. QX showed a personal touch that puts many bike shops in Singapore to shame. Not only did he respond to my email enquiries and request to visit his shop to test the bike, he truly wanted to help me build my dream bike. From giving great advice and painstakingly answering all my questions on bike parts to accommodating my request to use some of my own parts which are personal to riders (saddle, pedal and grips), to even helping me weigh each bike part because I wanted to build the lightest bike possible, QX has gone way over and above what anyone would expect from a bike shop in Singapore. Ascent's bikes and parts are reasonably priced and of good quality and you never get the feeling that they are out to fleece you for every part they sell you, unlike many other shops. Thanks to QX and Ascent Bikes, buying a bicycle in Singapore can now be an enjoyable experience, as it should. Thanks for putting back the soul into bike buying and cycling in Singapore. You guys r fckn hard to beat. My second bolt, after the first one got stolen, tried other customs but not feeling it, back to my clean simple humble super ahpek bolt!!! The way I like it... purchase with no questions except for a stem reach request.. n turns out everything was great..wheels trued, everything well centered, shifting delicately precised, neatly slapped greases. only missed to center the bar..but who cares I'm not a professional rider..I just need to reach my coffee, just shows you guys dun cherry pick your customers n built things equally serious....n yes the revo bb are sweet. Recommended!!!

I'm so happy and excited when I well received ASCENT Revolution BSA BB. Today I had successfully installed this new BB. I got to say it is very amazing???.
