Awfully Chocolate (GWC) - #01-K102 Great World City

We debated about getting the 20sgd Tiramisu but decided against it. We instead had the chocolate crepe cake and the white chocolate slice. Both are okay. I was expecting more I guess. We had AC latte as well to pair and definitely an overpriced coffee that doesn't deserve its price. Maybe the signature fat chocolate drink would've been a better option. Overall, it's okay but probably wouldn't go back if there are other options.

Came here for the Mother’s Day chocolate fondue. Bernice (not sure if I got her name right) patiently explained the ingredients in the fondue and was receptive to my suggestions for improvement for the fondue. She was very attentive when she noticed my mum needed more napkins to clean her hands with. Ambience and food was great!

A man was asking about how long your cakes could remain fresh repeatedly to the cashier, a Chinese staff, her answer was neither definite nor clear. Her response wasn't sufficient and thus her colleague a Muslim lady had to explain that it could last up to a week if refrigerated correctly. This went on for 10mins since the Chinese staff was just watching as the Muslim staff continued to clarify his doubts. I thought to at least place my order as this conversation was heading no where and I had already waited more than 10mins. There was a queue before this man well. The Chinese staff response was, "Wait I am attending to this customer." All she was doing was staring at the man as her colleague continued to explain. When her Muslim colleague convinced the man to purchase the cake, she immediately turned to me and asked me for my order and hastened to prepare it. Excellent service by her! I explained to the Chinese staff that since she was available I thought to place my order first. Her response, "There is only one cashier!" She was smurking as she said this. This is the extent of her courtesy to a customer and intelligence and capability to manage a very simple situation. I was shocked at her response and so were 2 of my friends who spoke highly of awfully chocolate and recommended that buy your cake among so many cake shops in Great World City. It wouldn't have taken a genius to know that she could have prepared the order and used the register after. There is also the option to explain the situation. However perhaps the capability of this "cashier" is only to punch in the order into the register one at a time? Please kindly repond. You sell good cakes but the service of some of your staff is unacceptable. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Muslim staff (she managed what the cashier couldn't with the previous customer and prepared my order purposefully).

Incredible incredible service :) this is my 3rd time to call them and tell them that I will come pick up the cake. The lady at the shop was a one person show and she gave the best customer service - patiently took down the message on phone , kept the cake ready for me to pick up , make the payment and dash. My fav local brand and my most cherished chocolate and cake place , hands down. The customer service makes sure I stay loyal :)

All was good except that they don't serve water and need to buy Evian water at $3 so I am giving 1 star less. Otherwise, the service was good and dessert up to standard.

Very chill and nice ambience. The hot chocolate and the ice creams were very thick and delicious. The crepe cake was sweet, the chocolate taste wasnt as strong/thick as compared to the others. Regretted not ordering a refreshing drink as i felt really heaty after eating.

Didn’t quite enjoy the 60 percent hot chocolate this time round . Milk was not frothed well and lacking in chocolate intensity somehow this ended up tastinh exactly like a up of Milo except that I paid much for it . Not sure why this type of cups are used now - not comfortable to drink in and it doesn’t keep the drink warm . My heart goes out for the poor service staff all alone at the peak hour of tea time . Taking orders, making drinks , warming pastries , packing orders for delivery . There should be at least another staff at this time of the day so that customers don’t have to queue so long in line .

Ordered Tiramisu and gluten free cake, shared by 3 girls, totally not enough! Surprisingly good! Definitely will visit again, but maybe a branch nearer to me…Service by a smiley woman (forget to see what’s her name), looked very experienced, and very gentle attitude too. Very welcoming and polite staff.
