Save your sense of smell and only use your nose when you reach the store. Coffee lovers will be taken back with the freshness of their beans as the smell of the beans will hit you when they open their coffee canisters. I've purchased and hand-grinded them and can definitely attest to that. Their staff are also deeply knowledgeable and was able to make the right recommendations based on the preferred profile of my beverage. I'd go back again for the beans (and definitely the glorious smells of the beans whenever they open the canisters)

We came to try other coffees after a friend gave us the 1910, which we really liked. The staff is very helpful and introduced us to their incredible selection of single estate (more like single country), blends, flavoured, originals and decaf coffees. Since one pot serves two just nicely we could only taste one! We chose the sweet Mexican which only has 1.5 coffee bean strength rating but was very pleasant to the taste. Everyone is given a serving of vanilla fresh cream. We preferred it without. The croissants are yummy because of the flavours - we had the raspberry and cinnamon which we liked better than the pistachio. We liked the caramel that came with it and I almost liked the dish. Very enjoyable time. Just that you’d need to queue as the bar takes only 6 people or 3 couples at a time. Maybe they should limit it to 30min per patron - after all your coffee would be cold by then. We ended up buying a β€œtasting” box so that we can try more types at home!

Was seduced by the aroma of the coffee. Service staff were good. Wide variety to coffee, similar to TWG in concept. Limited choices of desserts and pastries. There are a minimal order for each pax. Most coffee at $10 / pot (estimated about 3 cups) Croissant at $8 for minimal 2. Coffee are to my liking but not the croissant as some are too sweet. I ordered Caramel, Chocolate, Pistachios and plain. Limited seatings of only 8 pax. Expect to queue for seats during weekends.

I'm pretty sceptical of the origin story of this chain (as with how we were led to TWG being founded in 1837) but I'm willing to accept this as marketing. The branch at Takashimaya was really nice and I enjoyed the experience, despite my initial scepticism. The service staff seemed a bit nervous, but we could see he was trying his best to be as attentive as possible. There were many nice touches, such as a really nice looking glass straw when you ordered an ice version of the coffee, vanilla scented creme chantilly to go with the coffee plus dusting of vanilla, side of caramel to go with the croissant etc. My coffee tasted and smelled like how it was described in a the menu (which by the way has an unbelievably immense selection of origins, blends, profiles of coffees etc.) That in itself was an incredible feat, but the notes of strawberries were perhaps overly powering, which worried me if fragrances or essential oils have been added to the coffees. The croissants we ordered were also good: buttery and flakey, but nothing extraordinary which will compel me to return just to order them again. We were lucky to get seats pretty fast, given the extremely limited seating, but this could be because we were there on a weekday afternoon. I cannot imagine how it would be like during peak periods, and it's not necessarily a place I would want to spend more than 30 min queuing up for, and subsequently be subjected to the glares of the other customers waiting in line.

Used to come here frequently for coffee when they first opened and before they got too popular (there’s very limited seating at Takashimaya). Most of the time they’re really nice when I stop by to buy the drip coffees but sometimes the service can be a bit grumpy. Have tried maybe 7 of the drip coffee flavours by now - would be great if they allowed smaller boxes so you could sample before committing to spending 28$ for a full one and not knowing whether you’ll end up liking it or not #claudcomments

Currently, they only serve fine dining in this branch. If you are looking for a quick meal then you must forget this place as the queue is longgg. The coffee is really good! I personally like the chocolate coffee flavor (can’t remember the exact name). The food is just ok for me. They’re going to open soon in Changi T3 also.

Enjoy a good coffee break at this bistro. The premium coffee beans are grounded and we could smell the aromatic beans. The quality pastry compliments the coffee we ordered. The ambience is pleasing, with coffee specialist sharing the various kind of coffee beans that is suitable for us. It makes the day relax and merry.
