Baden Restaurant & Pub - 42 Lor Mambong

The service staff's behaviour was absolutely horrific. After a new waiter made a mistake (after we made very sure to confirm the order), a more senior waiter James immediate rushed to us unhappily and forced the wrong order on us, saying, 'sorry this is my rules' and 'oh, this guy is new. not my problem'. For example, Imagine going to a place, and you order chicken. Next thing, you get beef the senior waiter comes down and tells you the waiter who took your order is new he made a mistake, but that's my rules, you got to eat the beef and its your fault for ordering chicken. Not even one ounce of apology, but literally trying to blame us the customer for the new waiter's mistake. After that, we cancelled the order, but he sat that and stared at us for 15 minutes straight as we were trying to clear our food and leave. What happens next is even more shocking, as we were trying to leave. He rushed to the door and continued staring. EVEN GOING SO FAR as to instigate a fight, repeatedly shouting, 'you come here' , 'you come here'. FOLLOWING US outside the bar. (mind you, we had paid the bill, was trying to leave). Thank god my friend took a video as evidence to show how unbelievable this guy's behavior was as I was trying to leave while he kept trying to pick a fight. Have been going to Baden for many years, Glad to see that recent reviews are showing what are dump this place has become. I will be strongly considering filing a police report.

Our first time here in over a decade. Sadly, the place has lost its shine…food and atmosphere used to be great. Today, it was very stale-smelling and tired-looking overall. We used a Burpple deal to order fish and chips— the fish looked ok when it arrived but in reality it was all batter and had barely any fish. Tasted totally unseasoned and when we requested for salt and vinegar, we were met with blank stares. Service was pleasant enough overall but we won’t be back as the food was disappointing and the place smelled bad.

Absolutely great place for drinks. Their happy hours price are really worth it. Also they have this machine that allows beer form art, you can print a photo of yourself or your friends to celebrate the occasion. Cheers

Draft Erdinger blonde and dunkel. Had the fish and chip and pork. Pork serving was slightly small. Service fast. Was here initially for burpple deal but was told cannot use without reservation

Nice atmosphere with rustic decoration similar to how you would find it in a German pub. The food is average. My only complaints would be that the Schnitzel was very tough and the "salad" only consists of 2 leaves of cabbage. Okay overall.

Baden is an establishment in Singapore. Everything from its name to feel to food speaks of German authenticity! Featuring perhaps the best pork knuckle in the country, Baden also serves German favourites like currywurst and schnitzel! The hidden gem may very well be their homemade pretzel, which is the ultimate comfort food!

Drinks are rather affordable at this classic German pub all decked out in traditional decor. But what stands out surprisingly is the quality of the food served. Generous portions of saurkraut with well fried schnitzels makes for a great pairing with a pint of beer.

Very crowded and loud place.. service is reasonable but air con seems to be faulty as we are feeling really warm and stuffy in the pub. Food taste decent.. drinks is reasonably price too.
