Ban Heng Restaurant

Food sucks. So called shark's fin soup came spoilt called the restaurant they blamed the kitchen. $600 food delivery not even worth $80. The chicken is not cooked, blood n the internal not cleaned

Ala carte buffets offer value for money for group of gathering 11 old friends including many traditional dishes and choice of desserts.

Awesome dinner. Every 3 paying guest, 1 dines free. I have no idea how they make a profit. Everything was so delicious - really good quality and the taste reminds me of the good ole days of dinners out in the open, under tentages (think 7th month community dinners with the auction going on beside). The selection is quite wide and honestly, everything I ordered was awesome! So so so full now I can probably not eat anything at all tomorrow! Orh nee was not pictured! I finished it before taking a pic :( but it's very pure. There are bits of Yam with the Yam mousse. I don't like the coconut sticky gravy so i usually pour that away. The Yam was very nice. I don't understand why 2-3 reviews said it wasn't nice. It's the best orh née I've tasted in a long time. Seldom get this in such a pure Yam taste. The others elsewhere often add colouring and sugar for the purple colour and the sweeter taste. This one here is ? superb.

Theme weddings with Ban Heng never disappoint. Discerning couples get to realise their dream wedding…. Interesting use of the word “discerning” which means having or showing good judgement. Consumers are being more socially responsible, ethical, green and eco-friendly as we move towards Fair Trade across industries. However, Ban Heng Group of Restaurants who is a veteran in the culinary industry doesn’t seem to be living up to its name when it owes suppliers money (at least 5-figures above). While it seems like Ban Heng Group of Restaurants are still in operation, the time-honored (老字號) branch at Chinatown has been discreetly shut down without any news because they also owe the landlord money. The restaurant made money but siphoned it out to other subsidiaries under the Ban Heng Group of restaurants and did not intend to pay their landlord and supplies. If you are thinking of going to one of Ban Heng Group of restaurants to eat, please think twice - whether the restaurants are paying their suppliers especially during times like this when everyone is trying to just make a living. Maybe the shareholders pockets are happily lined, if this is so, it only means that people who are trying to make a living becomes poorer while the rich gets richer.

Old school Chinese restaurant with buffet dish serve upon ticking on their food list. Nice taste and food was serve quite quickly during lunch hour. Need to be prebook

Almost 30mins wait, only drinks and 1 plate of jellyfish was served. Food was served cold to warm. Fish was mushy. XLB came broken so there is no soup. The vegetables, flower dessert and durian ball was nice. Several aunty waitress pretend not to hear or see us. The guy waiter was really patient and attended to us well. Overall not worth $32/pax even though there’s an offer of 3 paying adults and 1 dines free.

Was with a group of 20, went for a 3 Southern Islands followed by dinner here. Nice food until the chilli crab dish, crab meat was not fresh and tasted strange. Told the tour guide, she said she will talk to the boss; no follow ups.
