Nice Craypot rice with reasonable price. We order $15 for 4 of us portion quite big with chickens n sausages. Waiting time about 20 minutes on a weekday lunch.

Extremely satisfying traditional claypot chicken rice! The chicken and pork sausage portion is generous. The rice is well cooked, fragrance not too salty. The waiting time is 20 mins as they cook from scratch for every order. Call to order if you don’t want to wait. I will definitely go back to eat again to satisfy my claypot craving!

??? One of the best Claypot Rice in the west. The Chicken cook to perfection and very tender. The right amount of rice texture , not too hard not too soft. The Chinese Sausage is fresh cut and cook. ???

Another revisit made to Bao Fa stall not only for their clay pot but also for their Minced Meat Noodle. My last visit was about 6 years ago and of course, their signage has been revamped. In the day time, diners can order their BCM (Bak Chor Mee) but from what I remembered, it used to be served in an earthen clay pot. The fiery kick from the chilli is notable and their braised mushroom is fragrant. Besides coupling the noodles with minced meat, liver, meatball, the noodle has slices of fish cakes too. If you are not into their Signature Mee Sua, you can order their BCM with other noodles too. While their signature dish is still popular, diners have to wait at least 20 minutes for their order. Just look around and you will see most of the diners in the coffee shop is waiting for their clay pot orders. I would say that their standards remain the same and upon ordering, they will still let us know the waiting time. The chicken is tender and I'm glad that the rice was well cooked and goes very well with their in house chilli that gave a fiery kick to our palates. Another thing to note was that there are not too much burned rice sticking to the walls of the clay pot.

There is some good food here with amber parking lots. There is always a long line at the economic rice store. Both the prawn noodle and the claypot rice rate 4/5 for me. I haven't tried the rest yet, but I will next time.

Have to eating at this place since 2008 and this is the first time posting review on their claypot rice. I don't like spring onions and Chinese sausage so my order don't come with them ? Customers can call in advance to place order as waiting time can be around 30mins. This store marinate their chicken in the morning and you may see them doing it in the kitchen if you order their bah chit mee. The rice thru cook is a tight mix layer of charred rice and cooked rice. Quite balanced to cater to people who like to dig for the charred rice to eat. The order is served with dark soy sauce and you can mix them yourself to your rice according how dark you want your rice be. There is also a nugget of salted fish and it may be wise to take out and put aside before mixing the dark soy sauce or else it may be "lost" after mixing with the rice. This order also come with double boiled lotus root soup. The meat and lotus root in the soup is generous the steamed soup is tasty. Great combination with the claypot rice. Sometime the soups may sold out of you arrive late.

Review on the second clay pot rice stall in this area. This stall was opened much earlier than Yuan Yuan. Yuan Yuan entry into this area clearly accentuated the skill of this stall. This stall served a much better clay pot than Yuan Yuan. Flavor was gd, rice is not wet (unlike yuan yuan), chicken meat was tender and clean (unlike yuan yuan). Serving size was rather generous. More importantly, they allowed consumer to decide how much dark sauce they wanted to add.
