People used to get confused between this stall and the one in Old airport food centre. They are unrelated and this stall has a better taste now . Nice place that serve both lunch and dinner.

Very shiok hokkien mee! Ordered the biggest portion of $6 and they give a lot of ingredients. Gravy gives just the right amount of moistness and got the wok hey flavour. Cash only.

A hidden authentic traditional Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee stall, located at Hougang Hainanese Village Center. This stall owned by an elderly couple, serves one of the best Hokkien Prawn Mee in this area. The noodles were well fried with a perfect amount of wok hei. Rightly moist with the right amount of saltiness, and crispy pork lard, the taste was heavenly. Prawns used were fresh and crunchy too. Do remember to mix The noodles with their homemade belachan chilli, as it will give the noodles that extra punch in the overall flavour. It's definitely recommend and worth to try this Hokkien Prawn Mee when you are here.

Early for lunch and the Lorong Ah Soo lor mee wasn’t open and neither was the Teochew fishball mee. So thought we would give this Hokkien mee at #02-26 a try. I’ve been disappointed by too many Hokkien mee, so this joins the rank of yet another one. Ah well. The prices are $4, $5 and $6. We ordered the $4 portion, which would have been quite little if it was delicious. The elderly couple seemed sluggish and tired, so I had instant buyer’s remorse after I ordered, as I looked longingly at the long queue for the Punggol Noodles opposite. So despite there being no queue (except for a takeaway order of 2 packets before mine was prepared), we waited almost 15 minutes for our 2 plates. This is the wet type that I tend to favour. But the noodles has no wok hei and it is bland overall. The chilli and fried pork lard were also unable to lift the dish up.

Helmed by an elderly couple who are friendly and efficient, the noodles infused with the flavorful prawn stock when combined with the potent chilli is a delight on the palate. Do yourself a favour and order the bigger portions, $4 is too little for something so good

Wet-style hokkien mee stall managed by an elderly couple. Decent taste although there's no wok hei in the noodles. Serving size is smaller than I expected for a $5 portion. Prawns are also small and only 3 were given.

Portions are for $4. Delicious hokkien mee, fried with generous serving of pork lard bits. Quite alot of squid with 2 big fresh prawns. Belachan chilli really adds a kick, a little bit goes a long way. Elderly couple running the stall. Noodles are packed in old school cardbox boxes lined with plastic. Very homely and nostalgic flavour!

Easily one of the better wet styled hokkien mee with decently good chilli in the east. Stall is operated by an elderly couple. The belacan is roasted over a charcoal fire before being used in the chilli.
