Went for dinner last night. Ordered the set for 4. Great tasting peranakan dishes. So good I forgot to take pics before eating. Dishes were go tasty that we ordered another pork dish. Also ordered extra the soup. Was very nice. All the dishes were not large but tasty and I love all the dishes especially the pork, beef and squid. Must go again. Service was good and place clean and simple.

Highly recommended. Best I love is Beef Rendang. The fragrance rice is a little surprise not only the Color is lovely it’s indeed fragrance! Not the lemak style but perhaps jasmine or what I am not sure. The chap Chye is bullet proof choice in Peranakan restaurant and the fish is good, only regret is the skin has some scale in tact. The duck soup is bitter salty, a little over, but the meat ball is really good. Very appreciative that they served warm water. Love the bright purple Orchid on the table, small attention to details made my dinning experience great. Service crew is good. I give it a 5 stars

We visited on a Sunday afternoon as a family of two adults and a three year old boy, after reading so many excellent reviews for Bonding Kitchen. The food at Bonding Kitchen is always well-reviewed, and rightfully so. The Peranakan dishes served at this establishment boast a high quality that some other established chains can only hope to match. Must-try dishes: - Wagyu Beef Rendang. Braised to perfection, it really was hard to resist. So tender, and so flavorful. As a married couple we don’t really have β€˜paiseh’ moments when eating together but this dish got us politely offering the last piece of beef to each other. β€œYou can have the last one.” β€œNo lah it’s okay you can have it.” LOL. It’s that good. - Nonya Chap Chye. Such generous portions, with large chunks of ingredients. The shiitake mushroom inside isn’t a sad little sliver but a whole chunk on its own. - Sotong Masak Hitam. MY FAVORITE OF THE WHOLE MEAL. The tamarind juice gave the dish such a beautiful tangy flavor and this was why I gave up the last piece of beef rendang to the husband, so I can have the last of the sotong to myself. We also had sambal kangkong. While it was good, I wouldn’t list it as a must-try. As a mother, I’m also concerned about child-friendly options when we go out as a family. My little boy had these items: - Pong Tauhu. The generously-sized meatball came in a rich fermented soybean based broth, with small pieces of pork and what appeared to be julienned turnip/bamboo shoots. Totally non-spicy, it was the perfect dish for my little boy to have with rice. - Fragrant Rice. The blue pea flower coloring makes it so pretty, and was fun for the child. - Kueh Pie Tee. This is a sure-hit with kids, and my boy loved every bit of it, right down to the sprouts that came on the platter. My only gripe is, the sliced quail’s egg can do without the spicy paprika powder on it. Little boy couldn’t have the egg and he was pretty disappointed. - Lemongrass drink. The addition of blue pea juice made it so fun for my boy! - Extra note: The restaurant has a plate of candies at the entrance for customers. It may not be much to adults, but it brought my child a lot of joy. Finally, we had the handmade cendol. Mmmmm. The handmade green jelly worms were the chubbiest we’ve seen, and the gula melaka was really fragrant without being too sweet. We were clearly over-eating, but everything came together to form such a wonderful experience. We will most certainly be back!

Food is of high quality, but I felt it's overpriced. Given that it does take a lot of effort and time to prepare some of the traditional dishes, to charge the price of a full dish in replacement for an appetizer in a set meal, and only giving half of the ala carte quantity - it was my mistake to do the add on. Otherwise, the service is great, and the taste is good.

Came with a friend who happened to stay at Hotel Jen, he wanted to try local food so I think Peranakan would be a good choose. Since there were only 2 of us, so we order the signature dishes. We started with Kueh Pie Tee, it is just a starter and good dish to introduce to a foreign friend. The main dish is the wagyu beef Randang, it is well braised and full of flavours, I would highly recommend this dish. The chap Chye is ok, we try the lemon grass drink which is few is a bit diluted. Finally the Chendol, not sure why but it took a while for them to prepare the dessert, the texture of the ice could be softer but overall a good dessert to finish off the lunch. I feel the are currently understaff, although the restaurants is not full but. Overall still worth it. Will come back again

4.5 stars here. Stunning peranakan, even better than Candlenut in my opinion as they're unabashed about giving you the strong peranakan flavor punch. The soups are stunning, as were nearly all the other dishes. The only let down was the chendol that was average, although I'm then told by a friend that I ordered the wrong dessert like an idiot. Definitely worth coming back.

This restaurant has great food with beautifully balanced delicate flavours. We love Peranakan style food and this place impresses us a lot. Located on the second floor, this is a must for any foodie. Definitely book before you go.

Service was prompt and good. The taste was a bit too strong for my liking, but it’s just personal preference. Ingredients were all good. Good experience to have tried peranakan cuisine in a cozy place. Set menu was just right potion.
