My two teenage child have been treated by Dr Soh for severe over crowding of their set of teeth where braces are needed for rectifications. I have to say that Dr Soh has been super patient with them and he knows exactly how to calm them and explain the procedure to allay their fears. Most importantly, Dr Soh and his team follow up closely with us throughout the entire process which has been months so as to ensure that the treatment went smoothly. As for pricing, I would say that the clinic charged standard market rate but for the level of expertise and service rendered, I would say it is fair value for money.

I did my second set of braces with Dr Soh Jen, and my first set done by a reputable dentist but not specialist. There is a significant difference, both in final result at end of treatment and during the course of treatment. As I was able to compare, Dr Soh Jen used different techniques at various stages which I did not get with the previous dentist. The result was exactly what I wanted and my bite was and still is perfect, even 10 over years later. My first set of retainers lasted 6 years, as I was living overseas. It kept my teeth in place and was trimed perfectly to fit. For my subsequent retainers, it stood the test of time and continued to serve its purpose well. Even though he never mentioned it to me, I knew he tweaked them to perfection and subtly aligned my teeth for further improvement ie never had food stuck between my teeth after I wore my second retainers. I never had to go back for a remake or trim due to discomfort for the 3 sets of retainers I made with him. Braces does provide aesthetic improvement but the difference with getting it done with a specialist who ONLY does braces is that you get a good sustainable set of teeth for the long term. Even aesthetics wise, he definitely has the experience and techniques to position for an aligned bite. The dentist who does my routine scaling told me "I went to (dentistry) with him and that man is a perfectionist”. No regrets, in Chinese there’s a saying, you get what you pay per dollar but with him you will get beyond what you pay for.

I have been his patient for around 12 years I think… did my braces for 2-3 years and now still diligently doing follow-up. He’s very meticulous, yet super fast and efficient. He would tiredlessly remind me which part of my teeth that I need to clean more. Thanks for taking care of me through these years ☺️☺️

I started seeing Dr Soh back in 2018 to get my braces done and the whole process was smooth and excellent. As someone who is very scared of pain, Dr Soh always provided the littlest of details and kept me updated on what he was doing to ensure I'm comfortable throughout the whole process. Additionally, he is very skilled and meticulous, making sure that the alignment of my mouth / fit of the braces is perfect. Dr Soh Jen came highly recommended to me because of his specialisation and also because my teeth had complications due to weird wisdom teeth positioning I started my braces journey with Dr Soh Jen a few years ago and am doing my follow ups with him. Dr Soh Jen has been nothing short of professional and is extremely knowledgeable and excellent in his work. He was able to immediately diagnose me and answer all my questions. He was attentive to all the same details such as my bite, and keep asking me to bite down every session just to check that my teeth are aligned properly. Photos were taken before and after, and he reviewed my case with me, letting me see for myself how much and how well my teeth shifted into place and my jaw positioning also improved as a result. Every session he asks me if there's any issue that he needs to know so that it can be rectified. His care to detail about my teeth is really the best. I feel extremely comfortable with Dr Soh Jen and totally trust him. Many of my friends told me that my teeth looks so well done. It's about market rate here but personally I feel it is worth every cent. Definitely would recommend if you are considering braces.

Having my braces done by Dr Soh was the best decision I could have made. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about orthodontics that he even has a PhD in it! Dr Soh advised me honestly on the pros and cons of different treatment options, all backed by real research evidence to help me make the most informed decision. He was also meticulous in making sure all the adjustments were perfect, and very patient in explaining the procedures and answering all my questions. Dr Soh Jen is very skilled and professional. He provides efficient services and always ensures that the braces are a comfortable fit. He also takes precaution for even the smallest detail and provides consistent feedback on how your braces journey is progressing, so you will always be informed about your status. His long experience definitely shows in his treatment and I always feel comfortable coming back for sessions. His team is also equally efficient and friendly. It is also very easy to make/reschedule appointments as the replies are very prompt.

Thankful to have Dr Soh Jen as my orthodontist for 22 years and still counting. I first consulted Dr Soh Jen at NDC in the year 2000 where I had my braces fixed by him. 2.5 years later, he had relocated to dentistry practice at NUH (where he was also teaching at NUS Dentistry Faculty as an Assistant Professor). So here is where I had my braces removed by him and started on my retainer journey since then. A couple of years later, when he decided to go into private practice, I continued to have my biannual dental visits with him at his own clinic, then located at International Building and now at Novena Medical Centre. Dr Soh Jen is a dentist whom I can ask any questions with regards to my oral treatments. He always ensure that I do not feel too much discomfort even during a basic oral cleanup since I had ultra sensitive teeth and gums. He is a jovial orthodontist but also a strict one if you don’t keep up with your own oral hygiene. Thankful for his strictness then, I’m always disciplined to upkeep my oral hygiene (proper brushing, flossing, rinsing with mouthwash and wearing my retainer) even till date. He never holds back on redirecting you to the right dentistry specialist whenever needed. I remember asking him some years back with regards to my husband’s oral issues. Because it wasn’t in his expertise, he has kindly referred my husband to another dentist who specialised in that area to address the oral issues accordingly. Even my children’ current paediatric dentist was kindly referred by him without any reservations. Currently, Dr Soh Jen is also the orthodontist of my firstborn who had undergone a Halterman Treatment performed by him and consulting him on an annual follow up appointments. In terms of consultation pricing, his price is on par with other private practice, what’s more he is a specialist in orthodontics treatments for more than 20 years. Therefore, I would highly recommend Dr Soh Jen of Braces & Aesthetics Dental Clinic to anyone looking for an experienced orthodontist with an amazing personality in the private dentistry practice.
