Excellent service and reliable goods with proper warranties. Only thing is you must demand for new stock when you purchase and not stuff on display.

This retailer is big time rip off bunch. My tiny Fujfilm camera was damaged due to being accidently dropped. I needed a replacement so I could continue taking pictures of this beautiful city. I have heard so many great stories about the nice people and shopping experiences from friends. The shop assistant recommended the Canon EOS M. I was charged Sg$ 1070.00 which included a spare battery and UV protective lens. On returning to Australia I found this same camera was selling for Au$562.00 This amount does not equal Sg$ 1070.00. I could not believe my eyes at this obvious rip off conduct. I have now viewed blogs on experiences of other tourists being ripped off by a store of similar name, branch located at another site. I wish to warn other tourists from anywhere to beware of shopping in Singapore. It is no longer the safe and decent place for tourists looking for a bargain. What a scam. Even the Harvey Norman store in Singapore is selling this same model for Sg$ 499.00. This is beyond the normal range of price difference which one expect of in a so called market forces environment. This is daylight robbery. I will be writing to the Singapore Tourist Board about this terrible crime on innocent tourists . This is a reprehensible and outrageous conduct. It should not be allowed.

BUYER BEWARE. I usually do not leave reviews as my tolerance for average customer service is reasonably high. However, my experience with these guys was so negative that I absolutely need to pass on a word of caution. I was looking to purchase a high-end camera package (just under $6k total) and stumbled upon this shop. I was pleasantly surprised when they quoted me lower prices than the more established, bigger camera stores in the corner. They quoted me prices for five different items (two different camera bodies, two lenses, gimbal) after which I went home to consider the quote, which items I wanted to purchase and organise funds. Returned to the store two days later and that’s when things went sour. Initially the salesman quoted me a price for a gimbal but this was taken back as he said he mentioned it by mistake and it’s his cost price. I am surprised that any salesperson would mention the figures of their cost price so openly and easily. This was confirmed when he showed me his pricing sheet and I did see it was his cost price for the gimbal. He was adamant that he had never quoted me the lower figure and so I said fine, I will pay the higher price. Secondly, as we went back over the prices again, the figures jumped suddenly and when I asked to clarify, I was told that the prices quoted did not have GST added. I found this quite confusing as I had clearly outlined the way I wanted to pay for the package, half by cash and half via card. And when I told him how I wanted to split up the payment there was no mention that I was calculating my payment on a price with no β€˜GST’ included. When I showed my frustration, the salesman told me that he had mentioned about the GST before but I honestly had no memory of it. He said it was a standard business practice to issue quotes without GST, pointed to a small line of writing way above the overhead shelves which said β€œGST not included in quotes”. I don’t see how anyone could have seen that normally. Finally, as I was about to make payment, the salesman made a phone call and afterwards told me that his boss said that they could not sell me the gimbal at the price we agreed on. (This is the higher price which I accepted after the cost price misquote). Instead, they wanted to sell it at yet an even higher price. I decided at this point that I could not afford the package that I originally intended to purchase as I was working off a price without expecting GST and the double price hike of the gimbal had put it out of my budget so I said that I would drop the gimbal and opt for two out of the three items we discussed. The salesman then said that he could no longer sell me the two items if I did not buy them along with the gimbal. I said that’s not an option for me because it’s out of my budget and my understanding was that on my first visit, the prices he had quoted me were for individual items as there was no mention of β€œthese prices are only available if you buy them together”. Absolutely frustrated at this point, I walked out of the store, and purchased the package I wanted at Cathay Photo. It took me 2 minutes to explain the situation and the salesperson there handled everything professionally and promptly. He setup my camera I walked out minutes later with all the items I wanted, an international warranty, all relevant documentation as well as a UV filter and a screen protector carefully and expertly applied by the Cathay salesperson. Lesson learnt. Gather info and research prices anywhere you want, but dealing with these types of shops is at your own risk. See below for proof that I did actually complete my sale with Cathay.

I understand some people's give them a bad review which they encountered with them. Relatively i would said that is all up to how you approach people's, your intentions of buying and most importantly is you yourself needed to do some homework on the products, if you had did your homework and the attitudes on how you approached others, it will helps you to get a best service out from them. I brought a Sony 200-600mm lens from them a month ago, not only they gave me I believed is the cheapest in town, they provided me a lots more than I expected from them. My encountered with them was they're friendly even they knew I am not from a upper level class. People remember what I have mentioned in this review, approach people in a right attitude and you'll get the best service out from them.
