The worst school ever, too many students that don’t know English and have to translate for them, seriously? Can’t you be like other schools that only accepts students who can speak fluent English? I mean who has time to translate for them, we came to school to learn, not translate for them that wastes half of our lesson time. I’ve been to this school and let me tell you one thing; the Teachers are horrible, they teach us nothing literally nothing and whenever we have a test, they’re like:”it’s ok don’t be nervous! It’s just a test to see where you are”! The test is called a map test apparently and it is the worst test ever, Teachers told us to revise for a math map test and they told us to revise maths, yes that’s what they said, just maths but what topic in maths? What everything??Jesus Christ the worst school ever, and I warn ya, don’t go to this school, no matter what, I’ve been to this school for 9 years, 9YEARS!! So I’m sharing this experience to you that this school is really bad. We also once had many fights in the classroom and the Teachers can’t do anything, the worst school to discipline students Just don’t go to this school

I love this school but the canteen food are expensive. The students here a great and are friendly. The teachers are awesome but some substitute teachers are a bit worse. The playing areas are big enough to play tag, basketball, soccer and so on.

Horrible place. The staff are mostly entitled, they never respect students. In higher grades they don't take anything seriously and as a student going there, there was no challenge or thinking needed. The teacher didn't care, some students played game for most of the class and they were still able to get a good grade. No work, no pressure. Whenever we went on excursion it was always to places in singapore. They didn't have the funds to go elsewhere. Not even Malaysia. 1 teacher even hit me once. The only good thing there were my friends, and looking back now I can see most people here are entitled selfish brats. I never understood why they didn't take academics seriously.

I used to go to this school and it was amazing I really wish I could still go there but my family moved away. I learned so many new things and I loved the teachers there. I miss all my friends (including my best friend ever) that I got at this school. I recommend this school 100%! (or even 110%) :D

As an alumnus, I can say that CIS is probably one of the worst high schools in Singapore. The administration cares nothing about the quality of the universities the school's alumni attend; they prefer quantity over quality and think that listing on their website the hundreds of random, unknown, and poor universities attended affirm the high school's quality. It's egregious. Nobody in CIS's history has been accepted to the top American schools such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Yale, the University of Chicago, Columbia, and so on. So if you want your child to attend a reputable university, turn elsewhere.

My experience here wasn't great. I was here for Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4 (first semester). In Grade 1 and Grade 2, I absolutely hated the school. In the morning bus, I would get bullied by students from older grades. The bus was also really small which gave me morning sickness. The Bus Aunty and Uncle weren't friendly at all and they wouldn't do anything to stop the bullying. None of the students warmed up to me and I didn't have any friends. I would spend my lunch time shooting hoops in the basketball court and I genuinely felt lonely. I even noticed some other students feeling the same way as me. The cafeteria was very dirty and there were birds roaming about. I had and still have a phobia of birds so the cafeteria totally traumatized me. The teachers were okay. Just okay. I was a good student and got good grades so they didn't focus on me too much. Some of the other students I met were terrible and I even had a bloody knee because of them. In Grade 3 and Grade 4, I had 1 friend. Which wasn't very encouraging. She was very outgoing and opposed my introvert nature which made me uncomfortable. The only reason why I am giving this school two stars is that they had one GOOD event. It was called Kindness day. We had to be nice and kind which was great. We didn't have to wear the uncomfortable school uniform and we got to wear comfortable home clothes in pink instead. Pink is a color associated to kindness so that did give a stereotype vibe. I can continue on and on but I think I will leave it here for now. Overall, I did not enjoy my time at the school at all and I would not recommend this school. For anyone.
