This used to be one place where the quality of food and the taste was consistent across multiple visits until our most recent one today. They revised the menu which was intesresting but now the menu on website (from scanning QR code) was different from new physical one. We ordered the new meat platter and immediately regretted it. The serving doesn't make any sense in itself because it had few pieces of chicken, with one naan sliced into small peices, served with tiny portion of butter chicken gravy. Even worse the naan, the chicken and sheek kebab was not hot when it got to the table. Worst of all the murgh malai was just tasteless. No seasoning, no flavour, just chicken cooked in tandoor. When asked, the guy informed murgh malai is expected to be that way with subtle flavour, which is the worst way to respond to a customer especially before he could may be take it back and check with the chef. Due to the strange portion of meat platter we ended up ordering another naan and a veg curry. The same veg curry which we had 3 weeks back and we loved so so so much , turned out to be another bad decision. It was something else. I donno what to say. Checked with guy at counter if cook/chef changed, but he claims not. Anyways looks like this will be our last visit. Not sure what has changed or if it just a bad day in office for the chef, but I wouldn't want to pay again to give them another chance. Inspite of them taking back the tasteless murgh malai and getting us same thing reheated (with some powder thrown around it) it still pretty much tasted same and I just left it there, the staff didnt have courtesy to recognize that and may be put it at a discounted price on the bill. !!!

An authentic North Indian restaurant isn’t exactly a brand new concept for the Singapore food scene, or that of the East Coast to be honest. So there’s plenty of options if you want similar food. Darbar however doesn’t promise to be anything spectacular, but just good North Indian food. Inside it’s very plain and simple and the service is prompt and nice. The food is good and tastes authentic. The lamb shish kebab had nice spices that gave the soft meat a little kick. The butter chicken was creamy and the meat tender and the lady finger curry was rich in flavour and spices. The garlic naan was as expected, crispy and soft. All in all the meal was nice and enjoyable, the price was a little on the high side, but Darbar was honest and served the food it promised well.

The food is good. It has an amazing ambience and antique decor. We decided to visit this place during lunch and it wasn't that crowded. Their service was efficient and the food was hot and fresh. We ordered dal tadka and the roti basket. They were scrumptious and enriched with flavour. I really enjoyed the tandoori aftertaste of the dal. The rotis were soft and fluffy. They weren't bland at all. We also enjoyed the vegetarian briyani. It smelled heavenly as there was a lot of spices and seasoning. The price was also very reasonable. However, the paneer butter masala could have been less sweeter along with the lime soda. It is a pure vegetarian place and vegan options are available. Overall,I really enjoyed this place and would definitely recommend it.

One of the best Indian food place in Singapore with a good range of authentic items such as Tandoori, briyani etc. Lamb kebab was nicely done and had good flavour. Chicken briyani and the dal were also pretty good. Good mix of different types of naan as well. Staff service is friendly and efficient.

First off, the service by Mdm Sara was very professional. She called me to inform that the restaurant will close within 30mins of my Eatigo reservation, clearly aware we may not have enough time to order and eat. I rescheduled for the next day and was not disappointed. Gobi manchurian was crispy and tasty. Fried okra was not oily and salty. Went well with the mint dip. The Kadai Paneer and vegetable briyani was decent. Very clean and welcoming restaurant and highly recommended. Will definitely return to try the rest of the dishes.

Great tasty food, aromatic spices! Rogan ghosh was super meaty, the chicken curry was spicy but good. Fish mehti was quite sublime...went well with the naan and parathas. All good!

It was our first visit today. Everything was perfect from start to end. The lady who was there was amazing (sorry I didn’t get your name). We ordered kurkure bhindi (crispy ladies finger which absolutely crunchy and amazing), tandoori chicken (which tasted really great but just a little dry), Paneer hariyali tikka (our first time trying this dish and it was surprisingly good), jhinga biryani (prawn biryani was delicious, prawns were big, succulent and fresh!), chicken lollipops which were really nice too and we loved it! We also tried butter & garlic naan which we enjoyed very much. The drinks were really affordable too. Definitely looking forward to patronising again.
