Not worth at all

Ordinary taste and not worth the waiting time.

Porridge is soft and flavorful.

Tasteless even tough added soya sauce, not smooth consistency with chunks of rice bits..probably they didnt cook long enough...Bedok one is better. Not worth the wait.

20-25 mins waiting time on weekends. If you wanna try, go on a weekday. For me, it’s not the best. My favourite is still the one opposite Jago Close & Esso petrol kiosk, which have closed permanently due to coffeeshop sold. Other long standing porridge stall Lagoon Food Centre is also better than this Chai Chee Porridge. This stall’s porridge can be quite salty & ingredients not as generous for a $4 bowl with egg.

So how did these bowl of pork porridge entice its patrons? I'm sure it got its own fan base. The texture was not watery but rather a smooth consistency with a creamy-like look. It was indeed appetising and together with its natural sweetness from the meat, it does give a slight nod in our head, kind of agreeing with the length of the queue in the hawker centre. Though smooth and creamy in its texture, it was still slightly grainy. Overall, such a bowl of porridge is stomach warming and approved by the heartlanders in the Eastern region of Singapore. If you were to ask me, was it worth the wait as compared to Sin Heng Kee and Johor Road Boon Kee Pork Porridge? Honestly, I will still prefer the latter and Sing Heng Kee in terms of the old school taste if we were to compare among their pork porridge.

Porridge texture very smooth. Ordered the pork with century egg. Very yummy and $4 is worth it. If you around here do try this.

I came a few times but gave up on the queueing as it really took too long to get just a bowl of porridge. Their porridge really took time to cook and is tasty. The only thing is the ingredients are not much so be prepared for some disappointment.
