★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the black fried carrot cake without chill... the carrot cake is those soft type, not those spongy ones that feels like you are biting into jellies... dark sauce isn’t overwhelmingly sweet... overall it tastes good... will be a returning customer in the future... ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite coming here to eat countless times, I discovered today that there are two fried carrot cake stalls with the same name (and even the photos and Singapore Best Foods sign). I have always been eating from the stall at #01-29 but decided to walk to the back to try the other stall. After placing the order, I started looking around and realised that this stall at #01-17 is related to the one at #01-29. Found some reviews online who said they are Father (#01-17) and Son (#01-29). I like the rendition of the dish by the Father which is more to my liking - less oily, more flavourful, and added wok hei in my view.
