Used to be my favourite stall but now it tasted so so. The fragrant of the sweet soy sauce does not stand out.

Some food blogs/sites listed it as closed. He's very much still at it churning out my favourite fried carrot cake daily. Very simple stall setup. Expect a short queue at times. Only the black version is avaliable. The carrot cake is pre fried and taken out of the wok to cool down. I think that ensures the flavour is absorbed into the kueh. When you order it is fried again with the egg added. Simplicity at it's best!

Ok la, wish it was more crispy-peng kang, ie more wok-hei. The cake was a bit rubbery. But steady stream of customers for 715 in the morning!

I was the last customer and I was offered this pack of additional egged carrot cake. It tasted a bit different from the common carrot cake, which makes it special. Or course to my liking too.

Taste is ok with enough cai po. The problem is the carrot cake are pre-fried. Once ordered, the pre-fried carrot cake will be fried again with eggs but then it was quickly fried so it was hot enough.

This carrot is the dry kind rather than the slightly wet usual. Comes with generous amount of chai po that are chunky and crunchy which I like. Love the egg as well. Flavour well balanced.

Carrot Cake / Chye Tow Kueh (SGD $3) @ Changi Village Carrot Cake. . Specialising in only the black version, their rendition is a glorious, delicious mess. . The carrot cake is soft and moist, covered with a generous spread of fluffy eggs. . Nicely sweet eggy savoury salty in flavour, with a hidden kick of spicy heat.

I was told if I go Changi Village, this is one of the “must try” food but no offend, I have eaten better fried carrot cake than this ? They only sell the black carrot cake so if you prefer the white one, you will be disappointed. Taste wise, is quite plain & not the ”Wow” kind of carrot cake… just my personal opinion.
