Shawn started by explaining to me and my parents the history of the clocks and what goes into choosing good clocks. Then Mr Lim senior engaged my family and personalised certain aspects of the clocks to suit my dad’s taste. When the clock finally came, Mr Lim senior came down personally and guided my dad and me on how to take care of the clock. Like i mentioned it was a great experience. The family members are usually busy, fixing clockwares or making new timepieces. They don’t fix wrist watches anymore so don’t come asking for that :)

The 3rd gen owner Shawn was very knowledgeable and friendly in educating me on its make and history, and what needed to be fixed. Despite one of the parts being missing, they somehow managed to make it from scratch and return the clock in perfect working condition! Still in awe that such skilled clockmakers exist in this day and age - where things aren’t made to last the same way they used to. Thank you for reviving our beloved family clock! ?

Although they are unable to give any confidence or guarantee that the part will work due to the density or intensity of tension or whatever the challenges, the spare parts which were send over, together with overseas repair technician help to start the clock ticking and chiming beautifully. I am writing this review to thank their professional approach to resolve the issue when all hope seem gone. I have used their repair services for 3 wall clocks: in 2019 for a red Vitra Sunburst Wall Clock - the entire mechanism was replaced and it is still working perfectly In 2021 for a Vitra Zoo Timer Wall Clock, Fernando the Fish In 2021 for a vintage Garfield clock, with a swinging tail. Shawn was so passionate about this clock that he offered me a discount and begged me to allow him to repair it, just so that he could lovingly restore this beloved piece from my late mother in law. The tail now swings and the eyes move from side to side again!!! I would strongly recommend Cheong Ann to anyone needing to repair a treasured clock or looking to buy a vintage antique clock. This family has dedicated their lives to this trade, and the only thing we can do is to support and stand by them!!! Go Shawn, Go David and Go Aunty!!!

I have used them in the past to service my great grandmothers clock and recently bought a beautiful piece for my house. When it comes to clocks and restoration these guys are artists.
