Chestnut Nature Park (Southern Loop) - 500 Chestnut Ave

Well maintained hiking trail. Plenty of wildlife roaming freely

It's a shame that we hadn't visited this place sooner. Wonderful trail. Must bring along water and insect repellant especially mosquito spray. If you stay put for more than a few seconds, do look for bugs that might have started to ascend your feet. Closed shoes - preferably hiking friendly shoes are a must. Some people might need stick support as southern loop is not flat and can have sharp inclines.You will see plenty of rotting wood - so quite a few species of mushrooms around. Keep an eye on the tree tops - as you might spot some exotic tropical birds. Most of the track is through thick growth but the little time spent outside that shade might be under extreme Sun, so do take along some sunscreen. We walked this trail dedicated for hiking - but a parallel trail is present which is dedicated for mountain biking. So this trail is definitely recommended.

Great hiking trail. Not too crowded and not very long.

One of Singapore's new larger parks. Not as huge as nature reserves, but still plenty to do. Hiking, biking, bird watching. Prefer Northern loop to Southern as there is no intrusion of traffic noise (Southern loop is just beside the expressway).

An extraordinary sight to behold awaits you! This place is a must! Feels so alien in here as it differs greatly from how Singapore is!

Me and two friends went here and had so much fun, relaxed walk and got lost with nature ? Got definitely enchanted by this beautiful place.

Walking to Chestnut Southern loop is good and enjoying tracking all the trai,l we can walk to Drongo trail,sunbird trail and Munia trail all good trails ???

Always enjoy going there. Extremely relaxing n very rejuvenating for me. There are multiple routes n so you should not get bored. However the north loop is my all time favorite. Just come, drop by, that will be your first step….. once there, the next steps shall follow n you will find yourself enjoying the walk.
