Chong Pang Huat

The food was okay. I ordered their bbq chicken. For me price is on the higher side. Service could be better.

Satay was succulent and the peanut sauce was rich and nutty. Satay could do with a bit more grilling for that charred and smoky flavour. Gave this feedback to the owner and he was very receptive. Chicken wings were good but could do with more bbq-ing, the chilli sauce is a killer!

I asked the young lady how long is the waiting time, she tell me 40 mins. Waited about 20 mins the alarm rang and collected food. Ordered pork satay which most were badly burnt, satay sauce is too diluted. Not recommended even if you have cravings

On this day, 25/07/2020, Saturday at 4.55 pm. I went to order 10 mutton & 10 chicken satay from this Chong Pang Huat stall at kovan food centre from a young lady. She collected $14.00 from me & asked me to come back & collect my satay in 20 minutes time. 20 minutes later, I went back to collect my 20 satay. I trusted them so I did not count the satay. When I reached home, my son helped me to count the satay & realised that short of 2 satay. This is my first time & my last time to purchase satay from this stall. They are not honest!!! Beware!!!

Really quite poor quality satay. Meat was tough and not well marinated.

Waited for 20 Minutes for it despite being the first customer on the queue. Had to go to the stall and ask for it while the hawker Owner seems like he doesn’t give a damn about it. Chicken tasted good since it’s marinated well. Lamb was chewy and undercooked (I don’t know how they can do that) Rice was hard and tasteless, no seasoning at all. Satay sauce was Chunky and packed with flavor, but don’t expect any spiciness from it. Chilli sauce for the chicken Wing was very very very overpowering, however, if you don’t dip the sauce the wings will become tasteless, not even a hint of honey. Not worth to come and try travelling from a long way. Can find similar standard of food outside anywhere in any hawker centre

Taste reasonably good. But waiting time just too too long. Waited for around 45 mins for 10 satay and 3 chicken wings. Meanwhile, noticed that he serve those dabao one first, instead of following proper sequence. I know cause I saw a few uncles and aunty behind me who collected it, when they order after me.

I came on a Wed evening it’s opened! In my opinion this is the best satay in the entire North East! The stall is usually well manned but on weekends, prepare to wait for a long time.
