Quite a disappointment really. I was looking at DBS' app and found this place. I was glad I didn't spend even more on Omakase (the type of set meal that you pay a fixed amount and the chef selects your dishes) and tried on a la carte first (plus used the 1 for 1 main course so the damage was a little less) The restaurant was not fully connected and the dishes were passed from one place, through the street for 10-15 metres, then to the next seated area. If it's local hawker food, fine. If it's sit-down dining Japanese? Please no. They said on their website the concept is Japanese mixed with Western, maybe that's why I have my wagyu sitting on salad greens, and same with my Kurobuta. I don't mind a mixed fusion but just putting fine meat on salad greens is far from justifying the concept. The Kurobuta was not so bad in terms of presentation, but the wagyu (Teppan Wagyu with Wild Rocket and Ponzu Sauce) as they indicated being one of the mains - the presentation was quite overly plain if not disappointing. Feel free to judge the pictures I posted on Google / TripAdvisor. The spicy avocado roll was not bad in taste but suffered from the same presentation issues. As for the scallops + foie gras skewer - scallops were overcooked. The torched salmon roll was the only dish that was up to standard though. Wagyu - portion was small but the taste was not bad. Kurobuta - cooking method was right, sauce was right, the raw material though was far from decent, it wasn't fat enough as a good piece of Kurobuta. I did not want to order desserts after all that so I cannot comment. But I will not come again nor try the Omakase, and they have made it very hard for me to review it any better.

I'm afraid this was the worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. Everything on the menu is overpriced. I figured I would just be conservative and get the truffle butter chirashi, which was 45 dollars. The sashimi cubes were quite small, and covered in some wasabi taste sauce. I totally forgot it was supposed to be "truffle butter". The wasabi taste covered all other flavors and there was way too much sauce that I couldn't really eat because the wasabi was so spicy. And the rice was messed up too. Very dry and no taste. I can't believe I paid 45 dollars for a dish like this. Never again please.

The chirashi was outrageously priced for what it was. At 42 SGD I expected way more than a few cubes of fish over soaked in wasabi sauce with no hint of the truffle butter it was named after. The teppan wagyu was ok at 36 but was a small portion with some greens that looked a few days too old and which were wilted. We ended up spending a hundred dollars for two small dishes which weren't any good. Went elsewhere for a second dinner instead. Honestly, I'm not even sure why this place exists
