β β β β β The kid loved the Japanese Katsu curry rice. Must say the curry was surprisingly Indian tasting, while retaining the Japanese flavour and texture.
Typically, Japanese curries use a roux, and can't escape this "mass produced" flavour. I believe the chef added extra spices to it. If the roux they use is commercially available, I have to get my hands on it haha!
The Katsu was also well executed. Crispy outside, tender inside.
Basque burnt cheesecake was a huge slice. Soy matcha was decent...
If you're a germaphobe like me, then you'll want to note the mask discipline of the barista wasn't the best (pretty much the whole time we were there, he worked with the mask under his nose)... It disturbed me, especially since he was preparing our drinks. But not sufficiently to deserve a lower rating.
Overall worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for proper food options.
The rest of the stretch has many other cafes as back up options and the back alleys are gorgeous in the right weather.

β β β β β Finally crossed off Kream & Kensho @kreamkensho from my ever-growing wishlist (at this point, I lost count?) while running errands in the Kampung Bahru area! Enjoyed the cosy minimalistic vibes of the place, definitely somewhere for you to chill alone or enjoy a good brunch session with friends! β£

Their signature ?????? ?????? ??? ????????? might be one of the pricier options on their menu but the rich umami flavours from the combination of shio kombu, sakura ebi and the generous topping of ikura more than made up for it. The scallops are also nicely seared and succulent, and the capellini is well-cooked and al-dente. The chilli oil adds a spicy kick that wasn't too overwhelming for Bb but did come across as slightly cloying towards the end. If you love all things spicy, this is the dish to get!β£

?????? ????? was a safe choice as the beverage to go along with the pasta. Shall pop by for other creative concoctions soon~ ?β£

β β β β β One of the better cafes in Singapore! Finally visited this cafe located near Outram Park MRT after hearing a few of my friends sing praises for it. Ordered their signature Hotate Sakura Ebi Capellini, K&K Big Plate and Kombucha Truffle Fries for 3 pax. Everything was served in big portions and sufficient for us. Capellini was well cooked and our favourite dish. Truffle fries definitely wasnβt a scam; we could taste the truffle cooked into the fries + truffle and furikake bits made it all the more delicious. Big breakfast is such a staple and they pulled it off so well. Flavorful and unique. Can we just talk about their iced chocolate as well? This is only the second cafe whose iced chocolate Iβve tried that satisfies my demand for richness and flavor in an iced chocolate. Definitely coming back!!

β β β β β Staff are friendly and food is good! I had the royal milk tea and it was great; the cream on top is not ice cream or typical whip cream, but salted caramel cream! The red bird sandos was delicious and the spicy-level was just nice. (I especially love how they toast the bread and cut the sandos into half!) The portions are also just nice, so there is no need to worry that itβs not enough.

β β β β β Love the food and service. A must go and will not be disappointed at all with the experience from start to finish.
Curry beef was yummy!
Yet another visit and it was fabulous. The food was delicious, came v quickly. We were out in 40min tops.
May 2022: third time wasnβt a charm sadly. They apparently changed the menu and streamlined some items. Taste wasnβt as good as before (pasta) and the portions smaller. The kong Bak sandwich was so so only. I wouldnβt recommend it and will not give it a second chance.

β β β β β Delicious food with a cozy ambience! :)
We got their shrimp capellini, kombu truffle fries, beef fat short ribs sando and they are all so good!
Personally enjoyed the short ribs sando alotttt; the meat slices are super flavourful and done right, a great balance in flavour with the horseradish cream and veggies between perfectly toasted bread slices yumz! The fries are crisp on the outside yet light and fluffy on the inside. The capellini's seasoning might be on the heavier side for some people but I like it haha (the spice got kick!), the scallops are also nicely cooked.
Drinks wise - their kyoho grape soda is not bad, the cappucino is strong and nice!
Overall, the serving sizes are all pretty hearty in reasonable cafe prices. The staff are attentive and friendly too.
Highly recommend!

β β β β β The sweetest and most courteous staff at K&K helped arrange for the quick birthday surprise for my friend. As always the food and coffee was top notch. We also got to try their new menu today, the sandos and rice bowls look very promising and I will be back to try more dishes.

β β β β β Food was excellent, reasonably priced and generous. The pasta and hot bird sandwich were my favourite. The burnt cheese cake is a must.
Very popular, advice to make reservation.
