I can't wait to review this at the hawker centre itself after finishing my plate of ckt. It's unexpectedly the best plate of local style ckt that you can get. It also provides the best value of money at $3 a plate. I almost have nothing to eat after seeing how the hawkers there are charging $4 to $5 for the food that I was eye balling. $5 for a bowl of prawn noodle at this place!!! Seriously ????? So I was relieved to find this ckt stall that fits into my budget. The ckt was pretty damned well done. There is wok hey albeit with charred bits. The taste is a fine balance of savouriness and sweetness. There is also generous amount of tau gey and Chinese sausage. I asked for no see hum but which otherwise is included. Most Importantly it is not oily. I don't feel jerlak at all after polishing off the entire plate. Edit: I forgot to mention there is also 1 whole egg for the $3 value.

Lack of fragrance, terribly oily, noodles taste rubberly even as it is still warm, only the cockles are decent along with crunchy beansprouts. Terribly disappointing given the reviews posted. The 2 stars is for the uncle who looks tired but still trying hard with no assistants.

Definitely one of the better Char Kway Teow. Wok hey is there. I wonder why someone complains about burnt taste? ? If you are healthy type, Warning this has lots of oil. Uncle fried plate by plate, pack by pack portion, so expect some wait. For a $3 pack, it's very big portion of kway teow, but of cause you don't expect a lot of Ingredients but I would say reasonable for this price point.

Perfect char kway teow. Wok hei imparted on the kway teow, crispy lard for the win... This is how singapore char kway teow supposed to taste like before all the health conscious government drive kill all the tasty food. 3 bux per portion no other size. Uncle will cook 1 plate at a time. Consistent taste, not like other place that cook 2-3 portion in one go and cause the taste to go bland due to lack of mixing or improper ratio.

Generous portion for a $3 plate. It not as dark as others and with a dryer version with good woke hei. Queue can be about 20 minutes

$3 for a generous portion of char kway tiao. The uncle is doing all the work himself and he cooks every plate one by one. The noodle is flavorful and came with cockles, sausage, eggs, fish cakes and bean sprouts. Ordering is simple as the stall only has one menu item. You just need to tell the uncle whether you want chilli in the noodle, and taking away or eating here.

Enjoyed the char kway teow. All good except could have larger or more cockles for the $5 plate.

At first I was wondering how good a cheap $3 Char Kway Teow can be? I am really surprised that old uncle did it very well. Such big portion and yet only charging $3, I am surprised especially the taste was good, full of Wok-Hei. Just aware that there is some burned char will come together with the food. Do take note unless you don't mind eating it. Overall, I am satisfied, price and quality. Will come back again. ?
