★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious bowl of dry chili noodles. Order the mifenmian option. Noodles were sufficiently moist without being wet, and the chili goes well with the fried shallots. Queued for 10 minutes at 11am.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the Chili Mee Pok + extra Noodles ($4 + $0.50).
The highlight is definitely that chili sauce concoction. It makes everything that touches the chili sauce delicious. It clings onto the noodle very well too.
The ingredients were average in terms of quantity and taste. The $4 bowl only had 1 prawn, 1 piece of pork rib, half an egg, some thin slice of taupok and fishcake. If you like more ingredients, definitely go for the $5 bowl.
Do also add noodles. Otherwise you might leave hungry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very aromatic chilli sambal infused with the flavour of dried shrimp paste. The sauce has a good consistency and clings on well to the noodles. $5 portion comes with 2 prawns and some pork ribs (with soft bones) and a little hard boiled egg. It isn’t spicy the first few bites but the heat starts getting to you towards the end of the meal, particularly when eating this in Singapore’s humidity and sweltering heat. Be sure to have some tissue paper ready to wipe off the sweat!
Will be back but won’t be eating this too frequently - this is without a doubt quite an unhealthy dish!

Has been a personal favourite and will always pop by for lunch when near the area. Not your typical big prawn noodles with pork bones and shrimp heads stock. The items come in 2 sizes now, 4 and 5 dollars with more ingredients in the latter. The chilli /sambal that’s generously splashed on the chilli mee is very flavourful, more towards savoury then spicy. There’s always chilli padi available for spice heads to up the ante. Ingredients in this bowl is very extensive, tail on shrimps, super tender soft bone ribs, fish cake, hard boiled eggs, tau pok, bean sprouts and crispy shallots. This all comes together nicely doused in sesame oil and their signature chilli sambal. The different mouth sensation between the soft and crunchy bits is wonderful as well. The soup provided is very herbal and sweet, helps to balance the heaviness from the noodles. I really wished fresh cockles are available as an added ingredient to blow this out the world.
Their chilli sambal sauce or whatever you want to call it is available for sale at 3 dollars a pack too. Closed on Tuesday and avoid peak hours if you can’t wait in queue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is always a queue whenever I passed by this stall and saw many good reviews.
I haven't been managed to try it as it only opens from 10am onwards.
But today surprisingly that the stall switched on the lights for business at 9.30am, and decided to give it a try as I'm the first one to place the order.
Ordered the $4 standard ($5 for the large) with kway teow and yellow noodles.
It comes with lots of noodles, 2 pieces of pork ribs, one piece of full medium prawn, halved sliced eggs, tau poks, sliced fish cakes and bean sprouts. The toppings are their famous chilli sauce and fried shallots.
Overall tastes are good and will try again next time, provided that there is no queue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered prawn noodle soup which is pepperish and not to my liking. Seems like their chilli dry prawn noodle is the reason for the long queue.
