Xi Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice - 505 Beach Rd

The texture of the chicken was perfect, smooth and done to just on the safe side of salmonella. I thought that the rice was a winner: deeply aromatic and perfectly cooked. The chilli was more spicy than usual. Worth a visit.

If i come to army market, will definitely order chicken rice here. Chicken texture and sauce is making you wanting for more. Their rice is also equally nice. Prepared to queue for quite abit depending on the time u go.

First time tasting this dish, and was really positively surprised! Rise, chicken and sauces were really good and just what I had imagined it to be. Good and happy service was also nice :)

Simply love eating at this chicken rice stall at least once a week. Tasty rice, chicken and soup with nice chilli and black sauce - coriander is a bonus. Add to the mix friendly and courteous service! All these "ingredients" make for a really pleasant dining experience at one of Singapore's best food centres :)

I ordered on WhyQ delivery. It's more expensive than dining there but it's convenient to have it at home as we cannot dine out due to P2HA restrictions. The curry has the right consistency that I like. I also like the spice level. It's just nice. They are also very generous with the ingredients! I ordered a small portion and almost couldn't finish it. I will order again!

One of better chicken rice i had in recent months. The rice is really fragent and cooked just right. Despite ordering the breast meat. It really tender and the skin has a very nice texture to it. The soup was also worth mentioning, very clear but packs with alot of flavour. Highly recommeded, worth trying!

One of my favourite chicken rice in Singapore and in my opinion, the best - or at least up there amongst the top 3. If I’m heading towards town, I’m sure to stop by for a plate. Heck, I’ll go to town because I’m having chicken rice here. The queue is typically not too long, but the wait can be atrocious especially when the weather is hot. The longest I’ve waited was a good 45 mins from queuing to collection. This is attributed to the high volume of advanced phone orders. People tend to buy huge portions too. At $2.50, this is excellent value. Though, you must be careful to indicate your preferred portion size, otherwise you will be upsold and end up paying more. Quality is superb and every component of the dish is done right. It’ll be even better if the chicken was served on the rice instead on a separate plate as not everyone is wise enough to add the soya drizzle onto the rice. My top recommendation for chicken rice in Singapore.
