Coast Dental - Dentist in Katong, Singapore

I searched for the right place to take my daughter for treatment as she had been told she would need braces on the top and bottom. After a consult with Dr Nijamuddeen we had a plan that involved a much more wholistic approach with Invisaline and breathing and jaw exercises. The results were amazing and saved a lot of angst. The approach at Coastal Dental is really about patient care first and the right solution - I could not recommend them more highly for both children and adult treatments.

I have been visiting Coastal dental for regular dental check ups for my daughter. Last month I wanted root canal done and was treated by Dr Nijam Latif. The procedure was sophisticated and neat. The best part was I received a call the next day from Sharon who manages the customer experience enquiring about how I felt!!! This has never happened after a dental visit Thank you Dr Nijam and team!!! Keep up the good work!!

Went to get root canal treatment done here. Being my first dentist visit in Singapore and my first major dental treatment, I was super nervous but Dr Shawn was professional and patient in explaining all the possible treatment for my tooth and I felt super calm during the actual surgery. The root canal treatment itself is almost painless and the pain after treatment was mild at most. The price to me is also affordable compared to most other dental places. I highly recommend Dr. Shawn enough due to his skills and his professionalism.

Having my smile redesigned by Dr Nijam was a life changing experience. What a great dentist with a devoted team. I felt safe all the way through the process and I couldn't thank Dr Nijam enough for his constant care, professionalism and kindness.

My son has been visiting this dentist since few years ago for his Myobrace. Dr Nijam is always patient, friendly and never fail to make him comfortable during all his visits. This makes me decide to have my braces done at his clinic though at age of 40+. Dr Nijam always takes time to explain and make sure our needs are met. Experience is always stress-free and pleasant. A very amazing & caring dentist. Thank you for your incredible work and professionalism.

If There is an option for 0 stars I would have been given that, This is my first ever review. Usually I wont write reviews but I don't want to suffer anyone like me, COAST DENTAL is only money minded better avoid and consult some experienced doctors instead. Forgive for Long post, Hope this helps to decide about the clinic. *Please don't fall for their "LASER" word(like me, they just show the laser for 2 minutes and charge much) other clinics also have that Laser for lesser pricing than them. *I have been there as I have tooth ache and bleeding gums, after they took many PICTURES of teeth using their CAMERA, took Full mouth X-ray too, then suggest Gum treatment which is one of the costliest treatment which cost $1500 for LASER FULL MOUTH GUM SURGERY ( laser should be a painless treatment but here you pay for the very painful treatment). For consultation and X-ray they charged $143. I asked the doctor again and again will it resolve my issue completely? they assured it will solve my problem. *So I accept and paid $1500(please note they collect the whole amount upfront in first session itself before the 2nd session done) upfront for my full mouth gum treatment. But they said instead of full mouth together, do it in 2 sessions Left and Right half mouth separately. *Then They did Left side gum treatment first. With in 1 day I felt discomfort and severe headache and many troubles, I contact them and got answer as 'it is Normal', so I believe in Them, On Saturday my face started to swollen. I contact them again on Sunday got answer that their is clinic is closed on Sunday (Even you die on Sunday they don't bother)and asked to take some painkillers if I have any. After my face swelling went even worse at afternoon I contact them again and got answer to go to GP or any other GOOD DENTIST( they themselves gave the answer) near by me after paid $1664 for their worst treatment I ended up paying $60+ for GP as I unable to make last minute appointment to any Dentist. * On Monday I went to COAST DENTAL again and found that One of my teeth need to do root canal by seeing the same X-Ray which they took on my first consultation, they overlooked the issue on my first consultation and gave a WRONG SUGGESTION. Because of their WRONG SUGGESTION and TREATMENT I Lost my peace of mind, tremendous pain and side effects. *When I asked why don't you tell that on my first consultation itself to my surprise they replied that everything looks fine in camera picture( then why they take X-Ray? GOD ONLY KNOWS) *So now the root canal only solve my swollen face, so with the BIG HEART they said, $1500 you already paid and took only half treatment, so remaining $750 is there but our root canal is more than $750 but its okay we just offset the amount for your Root canal( to correct their mistake which they did to me). Even After root canal treatment I have been suffering with severe headache which I have not been experienced in my life so going back to my country for further checkup and solution. *Finally my honest review is please think twice before you go, If you have lot of money and ready to experience a painful treatment, Get a swollen face complimentarily at free of cost by paying $1664 and to experience life long side effects then ALL THE BEST. EDIT: Attached the Doctor's handwritten suggestion on my first visit, To my Knowledge I don't see any word of root canal suggestion in that. Let the readers decide who is FALSE CLAIMING. Also out of empathy you never did anything for free, even to correct your mistakes you get paid from me. Now what you are going tell that your doctor didn't write those I write by myself and false claiming?

Coast Dental has been great on my Invisalign journey. Always helpful, clear instructions and no hidden fees. They also treat my kids and go to great lengths to make it as easy as possible for them!

Dr Sean was absolutely fabulous with the way he made my son feel so comfortable at the clinic and with the animated orientation of the dental instruments. It was a pleasant experience for parent and child with clear and concise explanation of the process, the remedial actions required. Strongly recommend to parents who have an active child who needs the close attention to stay focused and allay all fears about visiting the dentist.
