Management is ineffective in its job. Most managers will not hesitate to shout at you and insult you whenever you do not meet their unrealistic standards. Instead of providing support and guidance, they prefer condescending employees every time they make mistakes. Also, the time and effort you have to exert are not worth the barely average salary the company offers. Anyone who works here eventually loses their work-life balance after just a few weeks.

I would put ZERO STAR if this was an option. A warning to all new parents out there. Store your babies' cord blood and tissue with Cryoviva at your own risk. Detailing my traumatic experience with Cryoviva. I am just a first time new mom who wants to store my baby's cord blood and cord tissue for insurance sake. I signed a package with sales consultant Vivien. She approached my husband and I when she was activating a booth at Thomson Medical in November . We were coincidentally looking for cord blood and cord tissue storage options and found their packages to be commercially attractive and affordable. I naively thought Cryoviva was credible since Thomson Medical actually had a partnership with them. I already encountered a couple of red flags in the initial stages. We did not receive our storage kit boxes as scheduled on end October. I had to follow up with my sales agent to ask for updates. She wasn't aware that delivery wasn't fulfilled. Had to send 2 more chasers before I received the items 2 weeks down the road which was cutting v close to my EDD. Approx 2 weeks after my delivery, in end December, I received a random WhatsApp message from this lady called Charlotte following up with me on balance payment which was fine. To my horror, address stated on invoice was wrong + it was indicated that I made a deposit of $100 instead of the $200 that I paid. Reached out to my sales agent to clarify and she apologised for the mistake.. Here comes the mega horror. After having paid 2 monthly billing cycles, I got a random call from someone who is from the laboratory department of Cryoviva. She informed me that my babies cord tissue has contaminated and they cannot salvage it. She asked me what to do with it on the spot and I told her this came as a surprise to me that 4 months after collection, with 2 billing cycles paid, they did not confirm that the cord tissue collected wasn't viable for storage?!?! Called my sales agent who wasn't aware about this at all and this started my whole nightmare of wild goose chase. She requested that i switch to Cord blood storage plan which I rejected. I then had to follow up with her on a call to discuss on cancellation which got postponed many times because she was on leave and had Stay Home Notice. The issue dragged till now and in June I finally got through her and told her I want to settle this once and for all. I wrote in an email to explained the situation and call for plan cancellation and refund on 10 June as advised by Vivien. She assured me that I will hear from her on following Tues, 15 June. On 16 June, I had to call her to follow up as usual because no updates. On 17 June, I then received unsolicited spam calls from Dr Vats, Acting Deputy Lab director of Cryoviva Singapore , to discuss about the storage issue. I called Vivien my sales agent and she said she will handle the calls. To my dismay, I reviewed another round of missed calls today, on a Saturday weekend which made me very uncomfortable. I think it is unfortunate that my baby's cord tissue was contaminated but judging from the liaison and mental anguish, you can see how terribly managed the company is.

Would have given negative star if I could. I don't normally write a review as it is a hassle but going without one felt awfully wrong. You could see from the review just below mine for example of customer perspective and bit more you will find reviews of their internal staff, and if you google more, you could also find many concerns from Glassdoor review, Tribunal Case and also court case. You can find many insights online but anyway below is my experience with the company. Unfortunately, I didn't see this coming until I became their unhappy customer. While I have heard about cord bank before but didn't consider this initially due to the high cost, however closer to due date we decided to go for one and that's where we came across Cryoviva. Long story short, what was presented by the sales turned out to be different than reality, and after signing, we have never heard from the sales. Turned out she left not too long after. That's where I start to doubt the service and when I asked about validity of the storage and pricing details, it went into never ending and frustrating communication loop. I didn't want to pay for something shady. Didn't hear from them for a long time, and suddenly a legal notice. So again, painful, time wasting and frustrating merry go round email but this time I can get to tour the lab. Ironically the lab manager is more customer centric than any of the people I spoke before, at least he is informative and give me insights of the lab to gain some confidence about the company. Even then, I didn't get to see my boy cord, so in some sense it is still a leap of faith to a questionable company. Speaking of which, I have also met someone seemingly senior during the lab tour, a marketing and operation manager, who came to address my concerns. A refreshing experience from the same company or so I thought, unfortunately it is all talk no substance. It's disappointing despite all the talks, when reached over email, there is no response even though the email is valid with no bounce. Join at your own risk!

I've stored my boy's cord blood stem cells with cryoviva. Had false alarm two days after sign up, which was during my 34th week 2 days pregnancy, they managed to ensure I have the collection kit box during my admission at kkh, and did not charge extra for urgent arrangement. I had given birth my boy at 38 weeks pregnancy, cord blood collected by my Gynae. Later on had received my lab report after full moon of my boy, we didn't how to interpret the result thus had seek help from the sales person. Post sales service was good. In fact I did not do much in depth survey in choosing cord blood bank company, I chosen cryoviva because of the recommendation from two of my friends who also stored with this company. I would also recommend my family and friends in future!

Stored both my son and daughter's cord blood cord tissue with cryoviva. I have to say that I have plenty good experience throughout the process since 4 years back. When I was expecting my 2nd born last year, we were hesitate if it's a need to store for 2nd born and whether to store in same company. Hence we had spoke to sales person from all providers, eventually we still decided to engage with cryoviva. The consultant is very knowledgable and always addressed our concern patiently. We have encountered some issue on payment after delivery, the team helped to solve promptly which we very happy with that. Overall it was a great experience and I am glad we had chosen cryoviva.

My gynae recommended me to consider. After researching I found out that their package pricing is more competitive. The consultant is attentive to my queries. I am likely to recommend my friends to store with cryoviva.

As a young would-be parent, we were slightly ambivalent about opting for cord blood banking. However, we are glad that we went ahead with Cryoviva. The consultants were extremely thorough and patiently addressed a ton of our concerns/ questions. They were reassuring and the level of support they provided throughout the journey has been superb. I know cord blood banking is a long-term thing -- and I hope Cryoviva will live up to the standards they have set already in terms of their service so far. But based on my experience so far, absolutely no hesitation in recommending Cryoviva.
