β β β β β I brought my older sister to the clinic today. She has physical and mental impairment/disabilities, and was using a wheelchair. We were at the front door and staff Alice came to open the door and without hesitation, helped my sister to stand and take the one step up into the clinic. She also brought her safely to sit at the waiting area. Alice was on hand to assist throughout the visit which was a great help to me. My sister was there for a Disability Assessment as P Tan Family Clinic is an MOH Appointed Assessor. Eldershield provides monthly payouts for those who qualify, based on the assessment. Dr Paul Tan conducted the assessment carefully and thoroughly.
I was there to collect my prescription of statins. P Tan Family Clinic is on the CHAS list to provide subsidised treatment and medicines for chronic illnesses.
Lee Lee, the other staff has always been very patient in accessing the Medisave and CHAS payment subsidies for this prescription. I have been paying the CHAS subsidised rate and the balance is deducted from my Medisave.
Today's visit was a positive experience given the ready help and support from everyone at the clinic! Thank you!

β β β β β Waiting like forever. The doctor tried to poke the needle 4 times just to get a proper blood test done. And sending wrong personal info to other clinic, making us waited another hour just because of their mistakes. Will never go back ever again.

β β β β β The doctor is professional but one of the nurse is not. Im only asking the difference between the type of medication and she started raising her voice at me until i need to say that im a patient and i just want a normal explanation, you dont need to raise your voice at me.
As a patient, you are the one taking the medicine so you do deserve to know what medicine you are consuming.

β β β β β I tested postive for Covid with self administered ART. I decided to visit the clinic to verify my diagnosis. I visited the clinic at 2pm knowing most patients would have seen the doctor already and I didn't have to wait. Dr Tan was very punctual and professional. For a solo practice, I must add that the clinic was pretty organised and connected. After I left, my results were posted to my Healthhub portal and was easily notarised by MOH. In addition, I received a message from his clinic wishing me quick recovery. That personal touch from a family doctor left me with good feelings and confidence. I would certainly recommend Dr Tan whenever his services are needed. Thank you very much Dr Tan.

β β β β β The counter staff was lovely and the doctor was thorough enough but I had to wait an HOUR to get my ART test done. The doctor accumulates patients until here is a certain number or thereβs a lull in the number of patients coming in before he does the ART tests in mass fashion. Could be due to a manpower shortage or some other issue but please an hour is entirely too long a wait for a reasonable patient!!

β β β β β TLDR : waited forever, questionable protocol.
Full version : went for an ART. Realised some patients who arrived after me got to see the doc, and left before myself. Asked the assistant how is that so, reply was, the Dr swabs all patients doing ARTs at the same time. Those who the Dr saw before me are not there for ART.
Meaning even if you are the first patient, you just have to wait till he feels that he has accumulated enough patients or the end of the day to get swabbed. Not sure what is his reason for doing so. Maybe he wants to save on PPE/gloves etc, or just prefer to convenience himself at paying patientsβ expense/time.
Also, the swabbing is done at the back. Meaning you have to exit the rear door at the end of the clinic, and he administers the tests behind a movable protective screen, right at the edge of the clinic. The patients are technically seated outside the clinic when their ARTs are done. Not sure if this is approved by MOH, SMC.
Have done ARTs at other clinics before. The rest of them always swab patients as they arrive, within the consultation room.
Strange, odd or unusual at the very least that this clinic accumulates patients to swab all together outside the consultation room in full public view.
