Sorry Mr Pang but I will not patronise Crystal Optics again. I will not return to Crystal Optics because of their poor service attitude, poor quality frames and worst of all poor work ethics and skills! I will not let my vision suffer again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My first time there was in 2010 when I was a youth. My parents brought me there after my aunt recommended Crystal Optics to us and told us of their good service. They have a wide range of spectacle frames and contact lenses so our family's needs were all met there. The second pair I made with Crystal Optics was in 2015. The frame I chose was from Crocs. The sides of the frame was made of rubber. I remembered clearly that, there was once when I was attending a conference in an air-conditioned ballroom, I felt sweat flowing down the side of my face even though I was not hot nor sweating. I took a tissue to clean my sweat and saw that it was green. The material from the frame seem to be melting away! This incident happened only about a month after wearing that new pair of spectacles. It happened just that one time and since it did not caused me much trouble so I did not do anything about it. But it definitely made me rethink about getting those expensive yet poor quality frames the next time I have to have my glasses made. Earlier this month, August 2019, my brother needed to have his spectacles made urgently and we went to a neighbourhood optics shop. It has been some time since I last had my eyesight tested so I requested for a quick vision test. The optician was shocked at my eyesight reading and I asked what happened. My myopic and astigmatic readings have all gone down much by 1.00 and above. The glasses which I was wearing was over powered and explained that I would get headaches or squint my eyes to decrease light entering my eyes or open my eyes larger than normal to see things clearer. According to him and Google, Astigmatism will not get better over time or through wearing of glasses. I did not quite believe him initially and wanted to go back to my regular Crystal Optics to have a second opinion. I went to Crystal Optics last weekend and was quickly attended by a male staff. I told him I would like to get my eyesight tested since it has been sometime I last had my spectacles made with them. He seems rather nonchalant. He took my eyesight readings and instead of telling me my results, he told me my eyesight is stable. "Huh? What does that even mean?" Then I asked him if there is any difference in the reading and the glasses I am wearing. He replied me that it is the same. "Ok? I don't think so?" I proceeded to ask him for a quote and asked if I should used back the current Crocs spectacle frame. He told me that I could use back the frame and it is in good condition, gave me the quote for the lens but said I could not have the readings of my eyesight. I left the store with a feeling that I was left hanging. I went around to look for another spectacles shop to have my eyesight tested again for the third time. The optician tested told me my readings and said that the lens made was over powered and I should have it replaced soon. I will not return to Crystal Optics because of their poor service attitude, poor quality frames and worst of all poor work ethics and skills! I will not let my vision suffer again.

Very great and friendly customer service! Optician is concerned over my eyes' health and did not push to sell products until they're healed. :)

Staff was super attentive and helpful. I feel very assured that my eye needs are taken care of. I would definitely recommend this shop especially those trying out contact lenses for the first time.

Staff (Yong Jun) was very helpful and patient. Helped to check and recheck that the contacts were well fitting and comfortable, with several brands in case. Stayed to help put on contacts properly and showed no sign of annoyance even though it was getting very near the late closing time. Thank you, really appreciate it!

Optician Yong Jun was detailed and patient in explaining all the aspects of contact lenses, how the degree affects the amount of strain my eyes go through. Friendly and personable service provided!!

Staff is very approachable and friendly. They helped us to put lenses on my mom eyes which we got it from India. I strongly recommend this shop.

I would give 10 stars if I could. The customer service here is TOP NOTCH!! Yong Jun and Madinah (and the owner himself) are excellent! Both are very attentive, friendly, polite and you can really see they are passionate about seeing to your needs. To believe, you have to go there and experience it. They have at least 4 staff serving customers on weekends. But I prefer weekdays before evenings. I'm so happy Spectacles Hut closed down in Hougang Mall (they were my go-to shop for glasses and contact lenses). Because that gave me a chance to realise what I've been missing all these years by not taking my business to Crystal Optics instead.
