Small, fuss-free, and no-frills place inside Wilkie Edge. Spent $20 for the meal, decent price. Portion was just nice and food was flavorful. Only thing was the meal left me super thirsty for rest of the night, perhaps they were a little heavy-handed on the salt/msg. Would be a nice place to come if you're around the area and craving for yummy and simple Korean fare.

The best Korean food in town owned and prepared by native Korean in Singapore. Love their varieties of dishes spread with nice restaurant ambience. Always place to go to for lunch & dinner.

Delicious and worth the price at $10 per dish, no GST or service charge. Loved the kimchi soup and chives pancake. Parked right at the entrance to Wilkie Edge, definitely worth a visit.

The food at Daebak is afforable, most of its dishes are $9. Its self service and the place is not big so when meal time, its packed. Owner is friendly. We ordered jajangmyeon, kimchi fried rice, sundubu soup, rappoki and chives pancake. Also came with sides dishes. I like the egg roll and stewed potato! Every fish was ok..I meant nothing to shout about. Though i wish the rappoki to be spicier, jajangmyeon to be more savory and the soup to be richer. To me that night the best dish is the kimchi fried and the chives pancake. Kimchi fried was flavorful w slight sourness and just a hint of spiciness. Chives pancake was thin but crisp at the edges and it wasn't oily. I may return for its bulgogi pork and kimchi soup. Worth a visit if you are around selegie area. Wikie Edge mall has a nice exterior but pity interior is a little like ghost town..maybe except meal times when Daebak became DAEBAK to the mall! ?

No complaint for the price. I had 1. Seafood tofu soup - tofu is soft and soup is decent. The seafood includes prawns and calamari 2. Jajangmyeon - not the best but above average 3. Rice cake - chewy, sweet, not spicy 4. Chicken bibimbap - nice The side dishes given were kimchi (suits local tastebud), omelette, and fish cake. A clear soup is also given for jajangmyeon and bibimbap, and the soup is tasty.

Definitely coming back for the food! Love the pork rice set & kimchi soup. Flavours are on point! The only critique was that I ordered kimchi tuna soup but could only scoop up a teaspoon worth of it and couldn’t find anymore bits inside ;( Service wise - owner not as friendly as what I read in the reviews. But cashier lady can be friendlier with some basic service.

Found this hidden gem thru google. Reasonable price and authentic Korean meal. Find it on par or even better than some Korean restaurant. Definitely one of my choice if happens to be nearby next time.

The kimchi stew is amazing! Well-balanced between spicy and sour. The side dishes are good too! AND EVERYTHING IS ONLY $10 NETT! This place is too underrated! Oh, if you are worried about authenticity, I overheard two staffs speaking in Korean.☺️
