Uncle takes quite long to cook - expect a good 10 min wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Patronized this carrot cake stall a few times. Comes with black or white version of carrot cake and with or without beansprout. I enjoyed white carrot cake with beansprout. Tasty, don't feel oily and generous serving even though I ordered the smallest $3 plate. May be a bit slow in the cooking but worth the wait. One of the stall worth a try when you are at Redhill Food Center :-)

Parking is abit tight in this hawker centre. Do avoid the busy hours. Lost of stalls to choose from. Will come back again to try out other food.

The immediate difference here is the addition of bean sprouts, which lend a satisfying crunch and a mild smoky vegetal sweet flavour.

Their carrot cake is soft, cut in large irregular cubes so the outside turns slightly crisp, while the inside remains moist.

The white is more popular, with a smoky savoury sweet salty eggy flavour. But I personally prefer the black, for its stronger sweet eggy savoury salty flavour.

You can opt for no bean sprouts if you like. Also, be prepared to queue for at least 15 minutes.
