Dhia Restaurant - 29 Sultan Gate

#throwback to a lunch gathering at this cosy halal resturant. We ordered the sharing plates such as the naughty meaty platter (from special menu), spanish seafood paella and mac & cheese. The highlight of my meal was the red velvet lava cake, so rich with the oozing lava! ? Had the interesting experience to try their “halal” wine (with alcohol removed)! Good halal option for gatherings.The bill came up to about $400 for 10 pax.

Currently this is at the top of our list.. The best? Yes, definitely. This saying fits it nicely, Go in hungry, Go out Happy. We entered without reservations and asked nicely if we could enter. While we know we should have reserved first, we just tried since we were rather hungry already. The lady who opened d door for us, welcomed us warmly. She looked at the list, compared it with the physical layout and looked abit troubled. The 2 of us didnt wana make things hard for her but she ushered us in and showed us our table nonetheless. We ordered Squid Ink Pasta, Surf & Turf platter and mussels. Let us review objectively for all 3 dishes. The mussels and garlic bread was really good till we forgot that we had forgotten to take pix of it. Way better than Fish & Co's version. That version to us was one of the top few and we would return for that specifically. So ya, we now have a new favourite ?. So u know what to get for appetisers ya. ? Squid Ink Pasta - a different take to what we usually have as this is tomato based. It is really different and we would recommend to at least try once. Not the best dish as we may have a favourite already in our mind?. Surf & Turf - a dish that contains Lobster (not big but a good sized one) and ribeye, served with fries, salad and sauce. This is what we would recommend to have it too.. and oh yes, we were debating if it would be our favourite but, it didnt really make the cut BUT we would definitely come again for this. The meat was seasoned just nice, and we really mean, just nice. The lobster was cooked just nice with the cheese to protect the meat. The fries were just slightly abit off but the sauce made up for it easily. All in all, this dish is about 9 out of 10.. For food, generally the food portion is adequate, not too overly generous and is really deserving of what u pay, u will get. Oh yes, they have wine without the alcoholic contents. Woots woots! Lets move on.. the ambience of the place had d feel of fine dining, which was appropriate with d food. The utensils given to u were defined to what u ordered and not those generic templates. Staff was attentive at all times.. No such thing as slow service, belated orders, unattentive..etc. No such thing as that.. and we were deeply impressed by those small things. We actually asked for recommendations and the lady was very patient in explaining what d her restaurant offers and what dish pairs best. Jiayou!! Keep it up!! Great halal restaurant , hearty fare with great value . The pasta dishes are cooked al dente and packed with flavour . Grilled chicken was crispy on the outside while tender inside . Desserts were great too.

Lovely hospitality by Jumanto and team. Ambience was clean, cozy and comfortable for a meal with my wife. Food is incredible. I personally thought the Angus steak was cooked to perfection for my tastebuds. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Angus burger. Dessert was delicious. Apple crumble and the velvet lava cake was the perfect finish for the evening.

It's my third time here and Dhia has yet to disappoint me! I have tried their lamb rack, seafood paella and their steak but today i decided to try their pasta and salmon. Love it! Sangria by the jug is a must! Their squid ink pasta is delicious with generous amount of seafood. Every mouthful is full of umami goodness. A must try! Their salmon is perfect...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and its a perfect combo with their mashed potatoes. The food was so good that we order another pasta. The truffle pasta is just divine. Sangria still addictive. Not so sweet with a tinge of tartness. Eating the fruits at the end of the meal is just a nice ending to clean the palette. Service is top notch as always. I truly appreciate restaurant owners/staffs who take the effort to come by their customer's table to ask how's the food. It shows how they value their customers. 3rd time here yet I still could not find any flaws. And the staffs are just ever so sweet, he knows we are sharing our food and every time we finished a meal, he makes an effort to keep changing our plates so we can savour each meal. Not only that, he always came to our table to make sure that my glass not empty. Everytime im done drinking, he will pour more drinks in my glass. It really do make my dining experience there a bit special. Overall im pleased and yes do get use to seeing my face in your restaurant.

Their food is really good and affordable. Great plating too! Love their ambience and setting. A good place to go and recommend if you looking for halal food! Service wonderful too!

Reasonably priced Halal-style western cuisine. Definitely recommend Tomahawk steak. Paella was too sticky, you should avoid it if you're from Spain? All in all I would give them 4 stars despite they dont have alcohol.

They say first impression is always important. And yes Dhia really impressed??? From the food,wine,ambience,staffs...they were all AWESOME??? Truly a recommended restaurant for Halal food & wines(alcohol-free). Keep up the great work guys??? Will surely make a comeback and listed as one of my favourite places to dine-in. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
