Me & my cousin just had a dinner tonight (03/05/2021) @ El Mesa โ€” it has been a while that weโ€™ve seen each other since late last year 2020. The Filipino-Spanish restaurantโ€™s ambience is very pleasant and is located just beside the river. Filipino food was delicious and gave us a reminiscent feeling of being at home. But the serving time is a bit long. Price is also a little high, but reasonable โ€” considering that itโ€™s in central area. They offer free glass of water too, which is very convenient. Overall, great experience!

Mostly unworthy money to spend in a restaurant ever. Food overpriced. Service was bad. Music was too loud. The staffs looked like they are pressurising you to order their most expensive items on the menu. And without any warning at all, they served your "premium" bottled plain water for S$10 a bottle. And when ordering their "specialty* dish, we were told they charge by per pax so if 4 persons eat that dish, the portion and price will be different. Why can't we decide how much we wanna eat? This place is out to" chop" you. Beware. Avoid at all costs!

Songs from live bands are super old, mainly Zumba songsโ€ฆ should sing updated songs. Experience there is boring. Beer diluted. Not worth paying high price. Food is nice but not recommended cos the price paid can be spent much more at Lucky Plaza. Outdoor seats are very hot and humid. Will not recommend to my friends. First and last time there.

The service was poor, like โ€œwe are in a tourist hotspot so you can wait for usโ€ My pasta negra with truffles - no truffles but it left my body the next morning, in a rush. Go elsewhere.

A Filipino restaurant where you can try Pinoy street foods. We ordered sisig, tokneneng/kwekkwek chopsuey, shanghai, bangus and iskrambol (not in the photo). The tokneneng is not really the same as what you could usually get in the streets of the Philippines. The coating is different. Maybe because this is pricier? Not sure but it was ok. Shanghai was also ok. The sisig I don't like it much. The iskrambol based on my friends comment was great. Overall it was just ok. We didn't ordered the isaw because my friend did not recommend it. Also, i hope the lighting will be a little bit brighter. Maybe I the reason I wasn't able to enjoy my food as well because I could barely see it.

Had a great time last night. Havenโ€™t eaten a real filipino food for some time especially Isaw, Chicharon bulaklak and tuna panga. All the food we have ordered tasted really good. A great value for your money. On top of that Sir Angie really made our experience memorable. Kudos to Sir Angie. We will definitely eat here again.

The place is nice and the food is delicious too. You need a reservation to get into this place because it is mostly crowded on Fridays and weekends. Majority of the staff was helpful and supportive but there are few who were being rude. As also the glasses they gave us for drinks were not properly cleaned and when we asked the waitress to clean it she was being a bit rude and giving us looks. The prices are bit high but I think it is acceptable because of the location of the restaurant.
