I have been living abroad for quite some time now and have experienced different Italian admin offices, so I was prepared for the worst. But, the lady who attended me was very kind, helpful and reasonable. I had to renew my passport and the system wasn't accepting the pictures I had taken, the clerk worked around it instead of just telling me to go get other. When I asked her about my employment pass she explained me what was required and how to do it, even if that was outside her scope. I also heard the recommendations she was giving to other citizens and I found myself nodding as she explained the regulations and her suggestions were totally in line with what I had experienced. Only point I didn't particularly enjoy was to find the place in the mall, I went all around it, then crossed thru inside, found an elevator, then another one and finally I took the wrong elevator, then realised I had to register at the lobby and get a pass..

I have the worst experience applying for a tourist visa from the agency they hired - BLS Italy. I have applied to numerous schengen countries before and this is by far the worse experience! See all the below 0 stars review for BLS. My feedback thou specific to Embassy of Italy is how some of the documents you ask are antiquated and discriminatory. 1) Bank statement with bank stamp - I wish you will join the 21st century. We have gone paperless and its utmost waste of time to printout your eStatement and go to your bank branch to ask them for a stamp. This is utterly unnecessary. 2) Standardised the proof of documents and train your agency well. I was asked for proof of transportation just because I am flying in to Rome and flying out from Milan. This is the same country. I can easily just take taxi, hire a car or take the train - depending on how my plans turn out during my visit. Instead I was asked to book a train ticket from Rome to Milan. Again completely useless because I am travelling from Rome to Florence to Milan Ultimately, I am visiting your country to contribute to your economy and this is an unfair, unjust and discriminatory treatment of an individual.

Highly advice for all tourist visa application from now on to 15 March 2022. ????? You should not apply or prepare any things to Italy in advance, and read very carefully for all the information details that stated. Therefore, I had booked everything included my flights for Italy ?? in March. Also, acknowledged that tourist visa is not allowed till 31 January 2021. So I planed my travel in March, than I submitted my application documents on 27th January 2021. In February 2rd, 2022 I received a called from the embassy announced that tourist visa is not allowed because it extended until 15 March, so I have to wait until 15 March to see the announcement. Feel a bit sad for the news but Italy and Greece are great countries to visit after couple times of my wonderful experiences. Will try to apply again in the future when the tourist visa allow us to entry Italy. Please read carefully everything before you are going for your tourist visa application to avoid waiting your time and so on.

I've been to Europe many times and this is my worst visa experience. It's not cheap and it gives everyone a sour experience. Very disappointed that I have to write this bad review because the vendor that the Italy Embassy hired, BLS International, is not up to standard. There's no queue system and no air conditioning (it was a public holiday and the office looks even more run down with no A/C). I paid for the Premium Lounge - when I asked the staff what's the benefits, they mentioned "nothing really..." Appointment booking experience: I tried booking for an appointment, but it always gave me an error. Later, it dawned on me that the website didn't work on Safari. When I used Chrome, it worked. By the time I tried to book, the earliest slot is a month later. I tried to email and call them many times, and received no replies on both methods. Visa collection experience: I need to pay an extra to be able to collect the visa at *any* time, instead of on the allotted time which they don't follow anyway. Upon collecting, the staff couldn't find my passport at first and tried to blame it on me by asking if I received a call earlier that my passport is ready. I told them I checked my application status online and it says it's ready to collect - that's why I was collecting it. On Google Maps, it says the office is closed at 3.30pm, but it was actually still open when I collected my visa at 5pm.
