Had the Ayam Set@$5.50 which came with white rice, 2 pieces of chicken (thigh & drumstick) potatoes with thick curry gravy..prawn crackers and some achar. The texture of the meat was soft and you can taste the flavour of the curry and rempah in it.. A very friendly Mr Alvin shared that they have special dishes on weekend Buah Keluak, Pongtey and chap chye. He also inroduced me to his son,Jonathan who together with Alvin does the cooking.. Its good that the young Jonathan makes an effort on Peranakan cooking...we must support the younger generation and encourage them.. Will be going back soon during the weekend to have a go for the Ayam Buak Keluak..

Bought two curry chicken sets yesterday (takeaway) and enjoyed the food so much I went there again today for lunch with a good friend (her treat hahaha). Food: Tasty curry, tender chicken (generous portion) and potatoes cooked just right - one can see the authenticity of the cooking. Side dish achar - delicious. Add some prawn crackers to the mix and the result is a totally satisfying meal! Service: Very good and friendly. Mr Alvin kindly let us try their sambal belachan which is delicious. Thumbs up, Mr Alvin and his son Jonathan! Price: Reasonable - $5.50 for curry chicken set (chicken, curry, rice, two potatoes, achar and prawn crackers).

I tried their delicious Kari Ayam set for lunch. The gravy was fragrant and flavourful without being too salty. The chicken was very tender but still moist. Well priced for the quality and portion.

Chance upon this gem literally ? Totally loved the Ayam set! The achar is on point! Authentic Peranakan food that doesnโ€™t taste too salty or oily. Nice presentation too! A must try! Grab fast as they sold out pretty fast.

Service was good. A big shout out to Benjamin who is friendly and courteous. When he brought the food to the table he explained that there was a bowl of gravy with potatoes on the side for the Ayam set ($5.00). He explained that there were 3 tiger prawns for the Udang set ($10.00) instead of usually 2 because the size was a little small.Made you feel that you were dining in a restaurant. After the meal he came to help clear the tray explaining that the halal tray return station is not so visible from where we sat. The gravy was aromatic with the flavourful chicken meat coming off the bone easily. For $5.50 you get a full leg.The tiger prawns were fresh, sweet and succulent. Slices of Japanese cucumber were refreshingly sweet and crunchy vs local cucumber. The achar's tanginess helped to cut through the grease as the gravy was a little oily. The rice was a tad too dry and hard.

Was there for lunch and ordered Ayam Set and Udang Set. Portion was good and priced reasonable. It was delicious, you can taste/smell that it is an authentic Peranakan food. One of the best curry that I have had. Even their satay sauce tasted unique. Located on 2nd floor of Jalan Besar Hawker Center. Will surely come to try their seafood. Big plus cause its Muslim Owned.
